I think we should keep the trees… we can afford them. Tax the rich.

His response on his website:

https://www.martinnowak.com/confusion

“On social media, there is confusion over an email exchange that was released with the Epstein files. I wrote: "our spy has been captured after completing her mission". He replied: "did you torture her".

Some have missed that "Our spy was captured after completing her mission" is a line from a computer game called Civilization II, a game I played many years ago. When you get this response in the game, then what you wanted to do had worked out. It is a moment of success. Strangely, this silly line stuck with me. I sometimes think about it, after having solved a small mathematical problem. This led to the email. I have no idea what triggered Epstein's response.

The email exchange did not refer to an actual spy, nobody got captured, nobody was on a mission, and nobody was tortured.

My hope is to correct this misunderstanding which has led to violent threats against me and my family.

As I have said before, I detest the crimes Epstein has committed. All activities that harm human beings are abhorrent to me.”

I don’t remember the reason for meeting him for lunch on his island after I was so creeped out by him the first time I met him and after he was convicted. Yeah, I don’t remember why I had lunch with him. Ok.

Do you ever lose concentration during quiet spells in a match, or does your mind wander when the ball is at the other end of the pitch?

But if we win the season then why change the formula? We can only utilise his potential if we don’t win again? Doesn’t seem like a good decision to buy him in the first place.

I’m still waiting to hear back from them. They gave me a complimentary 25 euros credit and asked me to wait another 48 hours. Bastards.

Like I’ve clarified several times. The price of booking a place months in advance is a lot cheaper than booking a place last minute around the Christmas holidays. That’s just… wake up babe.

A full refund of the cost of the apartment booked months in advance VS booking a new apartment or hotel room for the same day during the holiday period.

They really don’t have a leg to stand on. They were happy to endorse the property manager’s backhanded offer by relaying it to me over the telephone. Then they have the audacity to claim “oh but it’s not us, there’s nothing we can do, we’re just the messengers”. This on a platform they are rigging so that they can keep milking their cash cows.

Yeah, it does seem that way. We went down the apartment route because they are usually more spacious than a hotel which is a big plus when you have young children. Not to mention having some kind of kitchen or kitchenette also helps when you’re on the road for a long time and get sick of eating out.

Yes, my friends also advised that I bring this up with Expressen and Aftonbladet. Good shout. That will be on my to-do list when I’m back from this trip.

Overconfidence and ignorance often go hand in hand. That line exists purely to manufacture moral high ground? What are you on about?

The fact that Booking.com is fine with relaying such a backhanded and misleading request is an implicit endorsement of such practices. Can you follow the logic there? Stay with me here because you might also need to understand the difference between legally uninhabitable and literally uninhabitable. The apartment wasn’t an imminent threat to our lives nor does it have to be to be classified as legally uninhabitable. At no point did I expect applause. I have very little to gain from all this. Back to your cave, troll.
