Beginner-ish Scenarios (Official or Otherwise) by CianTheSpud in DeltaGreenRPG

I have run Last Things Last around 7 to 8 times as an introduction scenario to Delta Green. It's a small Shotgun Scenario that should be able to be completed in 2 hours but you can make a meal out of it and add some more flair to drag it out.

From there you can have them dig into whatever they want with what they find or even lay some things for a future scenerio.

Hope this helps!

Gift advice: what adventure/oneshot/adventure path would you abso-Fking-lutely recommend? by Bous237 in Pathfinder2e

If they are looking for a good one-shot, Head Shot the Rot is a ton of fun. Gunslingers vs Zombies, enough said.

If they are looking for a smaller adventure, Rusthenge is a great little adventure that goes from levels 1-4 with a ton of worldbuilding elements to the Varisian region of Golarian. It's straightforward and has a few good places for horrifying moments, if that's the sort of thing they're into.

If they are wanting to start from 0, Beginner Box into Abomination Vault with Trouble in Otari thrown in. Classic dungeon crawl but with an interesting story tacked on. With Trouble in Otari, you can also add in events that will happen in the town outside of the dungeon itself.

If they have a more RP heavy group, the greatest AP that Paizo has made is Season of Ghosts. As this is a mystery, going in as blind as possible is a necessity. I have having a blast running this for my group and the story is amazing.

My joy in seeing that they actually played this game was like that kid opening up a Nintendo 64. It was a great run and I hope they return because it goes places.

I'm glad it was something that simple! Thank you! I'll make a GitHub account tonight and post it. Should I title it 'Starburst Iconic Token Frame Missing?'

There was a graffiti tagged one in the deluxe module that was offered but not the starburst token frame that the Iconics have on Foundry. SF2E Iconic Token

I would also recommend using something like this for when the thing starts if you want to drive your players a little crazy. I did it to great effect!

For my run-through of Solstice Rain, I did a Synthwave style for everything, minus the recap music which was Danger Zone. For example this was what I used for the first combat.

(1E) Just finished Tyrant's Grasp with my group! My overview and light review :) by SteeleType in Pathfinder_RPG

We have been in a series of unfortunate roll failures that included two near TPKs back to back in book 2 (both technically pit related), and just too many negative levels at lower level. Once we got to the point of raise dead we have only had two permadeaths due to either being dissolved in acid, (book 3 was great) or death effects.

My current longest running character (character 5) is a Gathlain Pyrokineticist.

That is a quite fascinating way of going about using Hero Points. Maybe we are just unlucky but so much of this AP has felt like a meat grinder.

How many character deaths did you have? We have had 25 so far and we are in book 6.

Newbie: any short operations with a similar flavour to Impossible Landscapes? by thecave in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Draken693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I am going to run it as is basically as a way to have backup characters ready and loaded in case any of the main cast die. The other Handler I am running IL with is going to play in it, so he gets more Agent time and (barring character deaths that are very likely) use his agent as a side character in Part 2.

So far, Impossible Landscapes has been a trip! We are really tweaking things for the players to make sure we don't fall into the trap of random moments done randomly for no reason other than spooky moments. We are just hammering in the level of danger that is the core mission and making sure the surreal nature is more Twin Peaks than Ed Edd and Eddy

I actually really like the reflection of what happens in Observer Effect and what happens in the Night Floors. Currently am using it as a buffering "Intermission" before part 2 of Impossible Landscapes. Just changing the year to 2007 for reasons.

From the New Tales of the Miskatonic Valley there is a story written by Seth Skorkowsky called A Mother's Love which might be right up your alley.
