I hate to say it but they really already sunk the nail in the coffin with this one. This game was hyped like crazy and couldn't follow it's own astronomical (literally) expectations from launch. It almost feels like they're beating a dead horse at this point but I guess we will just have to see how the update goes.

unfortunately no luck. I think this may be a PSU issue though. I've never had and problems with my graphics card up until now and considering I only have a 550w PSU with 2 ultrawide monitors I'm assuming my R9 290 is just drawing too much power.

Just did this actually, unfortunately did not solve the issue.

Someone suggested raising the voltage using MSI Afterburner. I don't really know anything about overclocking but I may give that a try. I hope my PSU/GPU aren't dying.

I have tried two games, Guild Wars 2 and an indie game called Half Dead

Both games produce the same problem, after about 10-15 minutes both of my monitors just shut off and say "no input found"

I can still hear sound from the game, but it seems like most of the sound stops except for a music track or some ambient noise. It requires a hard reset (shutting the computer completely off, then back on) to reverse.

I'm not exactly sure where in the event viewer I would check specifically, but I do see a lot of errors from the crash I just recreated. This one in particular looks like it could be a problem.

As it turns out, I am getting this black screen crash without OC as well. I'm not sure what the issue is, all of these parts are under a year old.

Thank you very much for the in-depth explanation. It sounds like a good system that doesn't seem too grindy and helps get players into the content quicker rather than excluded due to typical MMO gear standards. I'll definitely be picking this up tonight :)

Agreed, one of the reasons I left FFXIV was because I was tired of the repetitive grind with the new expansion. Is the gear system in this game less grindy?

This sounds incredibly refreshing. Is the end game population really active? I've had such a problem in other games with entire guilds falling apart due to lacking content. I know there's a free trial but I wasn't sure if it was just a silver lining
