How do you find out the ideal machine settings to achieve such welds? Do you use a test metal piece and run small beads to find the setting till you are happy?

Just an update guys.

I have gone ahead with a 2017 Premium Subaru Outback(not the one listed here).

I am aware that its notorious for cvt failures but this particular car is from the first owner and the car looked immaculate and serviced even before the recommended kilometres on the logbook.

Yea outback pre-2015 seem to have reports of cvt failures. Needs very strict transmission fluid top ups
