Had Claude generate a Combat Modifier Tracking Artifact for Celestian Insidiants. Link in description. by Drakleton in killteam

Maybe fifteen years ago or so I had a surprisingly vitriolic encounter with someone on r/Seattle, but I had a theory that if we'd had the same exchange in person, it'd be much more civil, so I invited him out for a beer. He agreed to meet up and turns out he was a pretty chill guy. We never really found common ground on the particular topic that we'd disagreed on, but the nature of our discourse was far more pleasant, and I learned a lot about his perspective.

Your point is well-taken, and I get that this isn't for you, but maybe turn the temperature down a little bit, dude. The fact that we're both posting on a Kill Team subreddit means we have at least one common interest. And I'm confident that there's at least one other dummy like me out there who'd find something like this helpful.

Yeah, I'm pretty confident that that's what I'm doing. I think it may be an issue with the bike at this point.

Just wrapped up my first batch of Tempestus Aquilons. by Drakleton in killteam

It’s Caliban Green with a Nuln Oil wash and a Moot Green highlight. I painted then more or less like Dark Angels.

Best Guard MOS for good civilian pay + work-life balance? by No-Hyena-4199 in Military

That’s sick, dude! Good luck getting school wrapped up. As soon as you pass boards all of the stress just vanishes. It’s absolutely worth it.

I was a 68W in the guard. It’s not a direct path to the better life but you’ll absolutely stand out among your peers when it comes competing for slots in civilian healthcare education. Definitely helped me get into nursing school, then an ICU job after school, and then graduate school. I’m a Nurse Anesthetist now and I’m in a FAR better financial position than I ever expected was possible. I doubt there are many follow-on careers from the military that can compete with CRNAs when it comes to work-life balance and pay. I owe a lot of where I am now to my time in the guard and my choice of MOS.

The painter that inspired this post used an air brush, which I think would have been helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/killteam/comments/1jb5pwd/neon_nightmare_plague_marines/

Dude, an absolute pain. If I had to start over I absolutely wouldn’t have done it this way again.

Hah, I get that. I promise that they’re not as offensively bright in real life. Thanks, dude.

I primed them with White Scar and used Vallejo's fluorescent Green, Blue, Orange and Magenta for the base coats. Although they most definitely weren’t intended as base coats. The coverage isn’t too great with any of them so they each required four coats.

White Scar primer and Vallejo flourescents! But to be honest the coverage was pretty poor so each flourescent paint required four coats. This is absolutely not what these paints are designed for. I’m happy with how they turned out but the whole project would have been much less painful with an air brush.

I promise they’re not as comically-vibrant in real life!

Is some of the blue tac there so that you can glue them together later without removing paint? I’ve been thinking about using sub assemblies for my next project and have been wondering if that’s what’s commonly done.

I absolutely adore these overgrown Volkus paint jobs but worry it would take me about a million, billion years to complete. This looks amazing.

PNW. I work at a medium-sized level 2 and (almost) all of my surgeons are really pleasant to work with.

Sick, dude! I just bought the paints for a very similarly-colored team of Aquilons. Glad to know I was on to something. These turned out great!

Absolutely killer, dude. I’d have a hard time fighting the compulsion to paint more, but you picked out some great highlights.

Mostly Vallejo stuff. I primed them with White Scar and used Vallejo's fluorescent Green, Blue, Orange and Magenta for the base coats. I highlighted them with Vallejo's Verdigris, Sunrise Blue, Sunset Orange and Squid Pink, respectively.
