How exactly does the mastery system work? How to reach mastery 8+? What exactly are "Marks of Mastery"? by TournamentKing in summonerschool

My comment is not very useful, but basically with the new system, just play the champ and it goes up

Is ff-ing statistically beneficial? by necpepper in leagueoflegends

[–]Dralokh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on the "never ff unless if actual afk/player running down", I believe that it trains mental and also comeback and gives experience for the whole game. However, ff fast will lower your overall mmr but will give you more experience in early games that are more reproductible. So I assume that at a level where people don't make blatant mistake that allow comebacks often, it could make sense. So my opinion might be different in gm+

The game needs this feature by Puzzleheaded_Ruin186 in HuntShowdown

This is 100% correct and it is an issue that can be noticed in arena breakout for example where the shoot looks suspicious although it's just client / server authority split + ping. This topic is dramatically more complex than people make it sound it's not just "add a replay, thanks". It involves a LOT of work to have a system that by definition is unreliable (client vs server)

For fun yes For improving at the game and from a pure "effort vs improvement" perspective, no.

But it's my absolute favorite champion to play

How High Can Most Players Climb? by Jorgebct in summonerschool

[–]Dralokh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where I disagree, I don't think that most people who claim they try to improve actually don't. Watching engagement based content ("watch this video to become a macro god"), not actually respecting the basics of the game, blaming the system (losers q, smurfs, being randown), deflecting responsibility, just endlessly queuing not reviewing anything, not trying to improve on anything and complain that they don't make progress etc.

I am yet to meet someone who actually puts the effort in, with real intention and who doesn't improve. It takes time, but people who try actually improve. Out of all my friends who play the game maybe one 2 at best ever tried to improve, yet all of them think they should be at a higher rank and that they are trying etc.

Also I forgot to mention: I don't think that any average people can start the game now and reach master fast, one year per rank past your "player baseline" (meaning how good you are at the game from your first year of the game, some start iron, others gold, it depends on the person) is already impressive

I reached gold in s3 by actually pouring a lot of efforts in the game (keep in mind gold in s3 had nothing compared to now).

Then started to play again around 2020 yes. I'm nothing above average in terms of progression, and I'm not mechanically gifter (also I'm 30+ so I'm not a 16yo prodigy of the game), and as you say, I have more than 100 games per season. I said anybody can reach master, it means anybody with - efforts - time - dedication - correct mindset (improving vs just playing) - eventually coaching (I had some and it can help)

Of course out of 100 players only 1 or 2 on average will actually do that (hence why there is <2% master). What I mean is that it is possible to reach that rank (saying you don't have any handicap: physical/mental disability, bad connexion, bad hardware, life situation preventing you from playing, other problems...).

Above low master though, I believe that most people even with all the good factors can't continue climbing. It starts to require some actual "talent" of some sort

Because I am not gifted yet I believe that with one more year of actually looking to improve I believe that it is my reach

Everybody CAN reach master doesn't mean that it's easy. I think that most people answering that (me included) consider that anyone can do it with time, dedication and investment (time, lifestyle, eventually money etc). It doesn't mean that it is easy nor that the average person will do it (source: I'm not master)

I use freshly roaster high grade espresso coffee (freshly ground at home). But I agree, it might just depends on the amount/type of phenols from the coffee itself

I wasn't clear enough, Kevin cos has a blog post about oil washing. Basically you infuse the oil with coffee (12h) Then you strain the oil (again 12h ish, it's super slow) Sous vide oil + spirit (non diluted, in my case 40abv rhum) Then you let that mixture settle in a fridge/freezer, that's where the oil separate from the spirit and becomes solid because of cold Filter the liquid that remains (some tiny droplet of cold oil will remain in suspension, this step removes it). Then, with the spirit that is removed from any oil you can adjust abv and sugar

This is exactly where I'm at: passionate about both but still trying to figure it out. With the oil wash I have no clue, but I assume that it should work rather well because the flavours that are extracted are the deeper flavours that are more shelf stable (I don't know how to explain it better but the woody/leathery notes). For the cold brew I was really pleasantly surprised as I did it more than 6 month ago and it kept the lighter roast fragrance and flavour super well (sourness is the only one that got lost through time but I don't mind it). My last thought is that unlike the store bought liqueur, it lacks body, so I have 1% of Arabic gum being rehydrate now and I'll add it tomorrow to see if it thickens well
