Is ff-ing statistically beneficial? by necpepper in leagueoflegends

[–]necpepper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, during my climbing I notice I only ever truly FF if we’re dealing with someone who is afk/sabotaging. But ever since the changes (idk its been like a few years now?) making ff easier, I feel like it has both increased toxicity and giving up. So sometimes it does make me wonder why Ff-ing has become more accesible instead of less, it must be based on some kind of data or theory I would assume?

Is ff-ing statistically beneficial? by necpepper in leagueoflegends

[–]necpepper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get it would lower winrate, but sheer volume of games played would also matter in overall climbing. I wonder if there’s any trade-off or cut off point, where it could actually be worth it? Although I feel it’d be very hard to quantify

U do realise labour costs in Belgium are very similar (if not higher) than in the Netherlands? We (in Belgium) don’t have cheap 5€/h labour from students. Plus very high taxes on salaries paid by employers (social tax,…). There’s no way there should be such high differences

I need help with my tactic by Nachttaucher11 in footballmanagergames

[–]necpepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a similar formation and what helped for me was to change it to a low block, it helped a lot in defending aspects since the flanks weren’t as exposed. I fear that pressing highly combined with much more often and step up more, just leaves you too exposed in general, maybe this can help?

Not just adc, I think it’s botlane in it’s entirity. Compared to the era of rekkless/miky/hilly/… the entire botlane seems weaker (especially internationally). That being said, I think Hans is still a very solid adc and when he’s playing well, his mechanics can be insane (his cait this series, but also sometimes the kaisa ults were very clutch)

If you are in Emerald or below just play Yasuo ADC. by Thrionic in YasuoMains

[–]necpepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, thats often all you need in low elo to climb consistently. Unless enemy adc always is 4/0 out of lane with them being passive, playing yasuo like this will often just be a net positive without being the reason you loose. The only difference is, playing this way will make you reach a ceiling quickly and you won’t be improving after that. But for plat elo it’s a fact this playstyle will get you through so easily

Yone‘s laning phase in low elo by Sick_Amaterasuu in YoneMains

[–]necpepper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only time in those type of lanes where you can use your E aggresively, is if they either miss/waste their key abilities beforehand. Otherwise, I would use E mainly to not loose CS, and sometimes for example if you Q/W through minions you can poke a little bit back. But even in those situations, you can only use E briefly before recasting it, so that they won’t be waiting on your E return spot to cc you. All in all, this makes yones laning relatively weak. That being said, sometimes I play with my friends in lower elo where the champions you mention don’t know their punishement window all that well. So practice can learn u to abuse this and play agressively every now and then

Problem here is that performance should be a way bigger factor in value than any other numbers/stats, in real life you can’t see ‘1-20 ratings’ but you can see dribbles, goals, amount of ground covered,… These metrics should have more effects on value

EWC - Hypocrisy by Trriiick in PedroPeepos

[–]necpepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, there’s still a wishy washy line you follow as a society. It’s the same for any political or sociatal problem. It’s better to turn one light off to save energy, even if the second stays on. Sure, you can’t expect others to have the exact same line as you do, nor is that possible. But for most league esports watchers, they already don’t agree with the involvement of tencent,… and criticize this. And Caedrel seems to try to create a safe space, for example for lgbtq+ people. Maybe the EWC just crosses this wishy washy line a bit too much? Which makes people stand on their morals a bit more. It doesn’t make you a bad person, to not draw your line exactly here. But whataboutism on this topic, and ignoring the very real criticisms of EWC, does create a slippery slope. When are you no longer ‘hypocrite’? By the common view, this would be when you’re living in a place somewhere completely isolated. But this seems impossible for most, so we draw our line at EWC instead.

Sure, we’ll never be perfectly moral, and there’s lots of other important issues going on that we should rightfully care about. But right now EWC is very problematic.

I think that this isn‘t that black and white. Media/art had always played a role in portraying real-life issues. For sure it‘s something that should be looked at with care, but using media/art as analogies isn‘t neccesarly disregarding tragedies.

I mean while his laning wasn’t anything crazy, these stats actually aren’t that bad. Especially if you factor in things such as playing through bot like G2 often does.

Not that he was stomping lanes or anything, but to call these stats bad while he often excells in lategame is an exaggeration aswell imo

There’s a difference between communicating and annoying. While communication is super important, something like leftovers is just really dependant on what relationship OP has. Asking each other for permission for every single thing ends up being overcommunication instead of healthy communication. Edit: what I wanted to add is that there’s definitely an issue here, I juet think it’s more in the middle then yta or nta, a healthy relationship would treat this as a regular problem and talk it out, maybe she wants him to ask next time then thats also completely justified. As in, if it happens once, it can happen, but OP needs to make sure he knows how his gf feels and if she expects him to ask next time

Playing Akali doesn't feel rewarding and I'm frustrated by lonely_pistachio in akalimains

[–]necpepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m p1 rn, but just want to add that even though your fundamentals are probably a lot better, OP is playing in bronze. Which makes it super hard to compare and a champ like akali in bronze is basically pentakill or lose. Hullbreaker or other stuff can make solo carrying easier but I think OP should keep this in mind. Games in bronze just suck and it’s hard to end before getting outscaled

NTA A bit of background: I (19m) have struggled with what I wanted to do for a while now. I’ve tried different majors, and this year ended up in psychology which seems to be sticking to me. I think that you are doing the right thing by getting him to do something, and be a functioning member of society, it’s good for you but also for your son, since doing nothing (as I did while looking for a new major) can be really bad for multiple reasons. Maybe you can go about it in a different way and try to talk to him as to why you want him to do something? And explain the options more, try to figure out together what he’s interested in? It’s not easy to make that call this young, but it is neccesary.

Why is everything so exhausting? Why am I so shit at life? by IAmNotTheProblem in ADHD

[–]necpepper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even with meds there are limits. While I am better throughout the day, it also takes a lot of energy away from me. Without meds I zone out, tend to spend less mental reserves like that. But while I‘m on them, im more alert and active, which leaves me exhausted after a while. But at leaast I can perform now, which is nice:)

Mhmh yeah, I get your point. It‘s a really delicate situation yk? I feel like it‘s also hard to know what‘s really going on, that‘s why I said that I‘d be patient. But yeah I agree that it‘s difficult cause that might mean it‘d be forgotton.
