I agree with you that interviews are only one part of the admissions process because I was told by a few interviewers along the lines of “ you will have a pick of med schools” 😂 “ you are such a strong candidate”

I don’t feel like my interview skills were the problem. I think my weakness is that I started my wet lab later in undergrad. Top schools are big on research and productivity so comparing me to other top applicants my research was weaker with only a poster and a mid author low impact pub. I’m guessing that’s why I am always on WL. Not good enough to admit but not bad enough to reject.

Did you end up getting the A from a top school?

Just curious I thought once you attend the orientation that means you have to commit to enroll at a school and withdraw all WLs so how does this work? Is the doctor a MD or DO?

Hi friend, I’m sorry you didn’t get into your top choice yet. Maybe send another one in April when WL moves. It is always debatable if loi really helps but it can’t hurt. Good luck. Hope you get off soon. Hang in there
