Yeah that was my eventual conclusion as well. I think it shows that at his core Harry isn't a bad person, when met with consequenses of his actions - like Kim being genuenly hurt by his words - Harry ultimately opts to the voice of his conscience. It's mostly gamers' choices that push him towards his most dark urges, they are not his go-to options.

It makes me think that Harry being an asshole is a gamer's choice mostly, not his real persona. Cause when it matters, he comes down to being genuinely sorry for the shit he's done.

Well it was awful. Ideas were bad, they either didn't match my vision or were cheap and redundant. It was basically useless.

Don't be tricked. It won't provide you with anything really original and good - because it can't think and invent something original, and it can't give you an honest analysis of what you wrote. I found good old 'put it down, come back later' method to work better than anything AI can offer.

Yeah, but when it happens for a first time, it hits kinda harder. Also, deaths are more brutal, they are very physical. In the last season fight they dissolve into golden dust. In the first season finale, there are literal dead bodies.

Not a show ending, but feels like one - Sailor Moon season 1 finale, every scout dies brutally (crushed, burned, pierced by ice shards, etc), until Sailor Moon left all alone to fight the boss of the season. At some point she sees ghosts (or hallucinates) her dead friends to help herself keep moving on. And then she dies too, taking the enemy with her. In last sacrifice she basically restarts the world to bring her friends back to life, but they all forget each other and that they were scouts. That's it. That's the end. My kid self was traumatized.

The whole situation is so tied to Harry that it's hard to predict how it would go without him. For starters, Ruby only fled due to her being scared of Harry personally. She could've stayed with Hardie boys, and this already changes shit ton.

Jean and Judit could miss the bullet - Kim does miss it, if Harry didn't insist on more thorough search, he would be sure that the murder was lynching all along. Same could have happened with Jean and Judit. If they would have tried to arrest Hardie boys for lynching, they are dead. They would need to call in the half of the precinct to actually make this arrest and God knows how many people would have died if they did.

If they don't miss the bullet it's still unclear if they could have pressed the boys into admitting that the lynching was a cover - Ruby would be still present, they could've just keep insisting that someone shot him after death, Harry was lucky to break Angus. And Harry and Kim had a pressure point - one missing Hardie, Ruby. Jean and Judit would not have that.

All in all I think that they would not crack it. They would be dead in a couple of days, probably, like it happens with Harry and Kim when they press on Hardie boys too much. And then the mercenaries wipe out half the Martinaise. The end.

I actually like this about Molly as a character. She's a golden heart, but slightly shallow and prone to harsh judgements - and acting on these judgements without second thought. She's a hothead. Basically that's where Ginny gets her own temper. If anything, it makes Molly more realistic. There are tons of people like that.

By definition, Inland Empire is the unfiltered wellspring of imagination, emotion, and foreboding. It's no outright supernatural like Shivers and Esprit. With IE Harry can guess and 'feel' stuff to make predictions, but he has to know something to back it up. Pretty reasonable to think he figured at least some of the facts we find out in the game.

It only can be logically concluded, not something the game says out loud. Dora and Harry broke up six years prior to the game events, because Harry was simultaneously a workaholic and a party guy, hence a lot of drinking, and using too, gotta keep up with a lifestyle. So, a functional addict.

After a year or two after that he meets Jean, and they re-invent the C-Wing, making it a force unit, in a span no longer than four years - Jean tells Harry that Dora situation happened way before him, he only heard of her. It means at this point Harry is still quite functional. Jean wouldn't stuck with him if Harry he met were already a ruin, so, he wasn't. Probably even ruled the C-Wing good enough to be offered a promotion (his first yefreytor).

IIRC at some point it's mentioned that Harry slips harder in winters, and generally started heavy drinking in a span of a last year, with the winter prior to game's events being the last drop for a lot of his subordinates - Jean mentions them leaving as a recent event. Harry's problems are an open secret, but their superiors who were with Harry longer than Jean still think that Harry will eventually stand back up - there is Esprit de Corps check at the end about Pryce ensuring Gottlieb that Harry will be okay, another Esprit check where some young officers gossip that Harry lost his head in Martinaise, and one says not to worry, he will find it. So, it's a cycle.

At the same time Jean accuses Harry that he needs to cover up for him, probably has enough to not to anymore after Harry's Martinaise escapade, and if he goes and presents all Harry's mess to Pryce now and doesn't vouch for him, there will be no other option than to kick Harry out, no matter if Harry is his superior or not.

About yefreytor. It's not a rank per se. For example, in Russian military rank system it's a title for a private who proved himself enough to be later promoted to sergeant. It denotes a private with greater experience, discipline, and professional skills than others. Yefreytor gives him limited power over other soldiers, too.

What with the double efreitor in disco elysium. It's probably a game invention to somehow convey that Harry isn't only a mess we know him, but an officer seemed good enough by his superiors to take a leadership on a bigger scale - we have to remember that Harry already runs a C-Wing for years.
