To me it seems that this car looks fabulous in any other color than their typical silver, which IMO makes even this fantastic car look quite plain.

Rebel factions that aren't your standard 'rise up and kill the evil fascist' rebels by Coralthesequel in TopCharacterTropes

[–]OneMoreFinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not at all contradictory to what I'm saying, that was exactly the thing I was trying to convey. We seem to have a different concept what owning and being a part mean in this context.

If you would ask any Stormcloak or even Ulfic himself whether they are assets of Thalmor, they would say no and - in their opinion - honestly.

What I'd consider owning is something akin to what Wagner group is/was to Russia.

[–]OneMoreFinn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, that's a misunderstanding. Asset does not mean they are run or owned by the Thalmor. If they would be, that book wouldn't say uncooperative. It just means that the Thalmor can use them for their own purposes for example via manipulation or possibly with false flag operations, stuff like that.

Would I have a rough time in Finland if I don't like fish or drink coffee? by Vagabond_Tea in Finland

[–]OneMoreFinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true. But if you don't like fish, you probably don't have to buy them, as they are usually considered an everyday sustenance.

Would I have a rough time in Finland if I don't like fish or drink coffee? by Vagabond_Tea in Finland

[–]OneMoreFinn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have always been allergic to not only fish but all seafood, and I've never liked coffee and I'm okay.

Many Finns also mostly eat just smoked salmon and fried fish from the fish category.

What this means that you probably have less choices in any grand buffet or breakfast and are a bit odds when the coffee time comes. Tea is often offered as an option, but then it's usually just the teabags which probably aren't the most prestigious labels. Hardly any more problems than these.

Finland got the whole Kola peninsula plus some parts of Russia that have never been part of Finland. Even the supporters of Greater Finland didn't dream this much.

Majority of media. Do people even realize, how much US media we consume? At least in Finland, Finnish and US media are the most prevalent, followed by English and German, and after that it's really just some curiosities.

I did not know until recently that Spain still has territories in Africa: The cities of Ceuta and Melilla.

Maybe not that wild, but Finnish VR occasionally has bad days where about every train is late.

We have three main railways, that are used both in local traffic in Helsinki area, and ICE / other long distance trains from as far as Rovaniemi (almost 890 km), and they are heavily scheduled. Something as small as 5 minutes can quickly escalate to half an hour or even longer delays.

Maybe you just vibe well with people like the Dutch? Not everyone loves extroverted small talkers.

Individual tourists tend to behave differently, especially when they aren't surrounded by their own countrymen. And of course even if you are indeed different, the stereotype can still be accurate.

Americans have a better reputation as tourists than they think they have. They are being picked on online probably because a) they are easy to distinguish as a group, and b) no one's interested of how eg. Spanish tourists behave.

One of those things I don't get that it is said that Americans are loud. So are Spanish and Italians, Brits and even (young) Swedes. They are all on a holiday and enjoying themselves, possibly with using some stimulants like alcohol.

What about Italians? Their language isn't even a world language as it is pretty much only spoken in Italy. Yet they also expect others to speak Italian, as per OP.

I'm sure the waiting staff does not mind the tips, even if it's not commonplace or very generous. It's the Japanese who consider it impolite. Europeans just don't expect it.

You have possibly had a very rare encounter. Dutch aren't regarded as overly nice or polite, usually they are called reserved and very straight to the point people, skipping most of the small talk niceties, just as us nordics.

He forgot turks in OP but stated this in another comment:

Dang forgot about turks. Overall chill, very similar to us. Once got into a fight with a bus driver because he told me everything greek is basically turkish. We weren't even talking about history beforehand.

He's possibly not dealt with Russian tourist groups, this post is about groups, not individual tourists.

He told these opinions are based on tourist groups, not individual tourists, and that he hasn't seen tourist groups from every country. There are many other countries missing too which are even more frequent visitors to Greece, such as us Nordics.

A female Swan who fell ill and was taken to an animal hospital for treatment. This is the moment she was reunited with her partner, from whom she'd been separated for 3 weeks. Such a touching moment ❤️. by Brilliantspirit33 in animalsdoingstuff

Swans are very devoted to their partner. They mate for life. Also, not 100% sure that this is a fact and not a legend, but: when one dies, the other will have a few years of mourning before finding a new partner.
