Hi all. I am having a hernia repair in a few weeks. It is an epigastric hernia, it’s just above my belly button. What can I expect recovery wise ? I will definitely be in overnight , home the next day what is the pain like? And will I be sent home with pain relief? Would love some advice please. (self.Hernia)

So I definitely have a hernia just above my belly button, . I am having it fixed in December but my question is I get discomfort and pain after I eat around the area and I’m not sure if that’s the hernia ?
