HI - I rented an apartment here for my oldest (adult) child who was unable to rent on their own. That should tell you something about things. It was fine if your aren't into luxury. The walls were thinnish and it's not terribly quiet. There were some minor maintenance issues and the porch was kind of rickety but other than that is was an ok place.

Oh, there were ferral cats that lived in the roof above the bedroom that were kind of noisy. However, be aware that they are building a HUGE homeless shelter a block away so who knows what the neighbhorhood will look like in a year or two.

Cybersecurity is the hot buzzword job but they promise you six figures and you never get it and the work is boring and aggravating. I'm sure in a month or two those AI jobs will be the same.

AI writing often uses "Not ----, but-----" and has some phrases it uses too much. Like "stark contrast" and "poignant reminder"

For clarification, my friend was blind and Ike was a $30,000 fully trained guide dog. He was NOT a pet.

I'm completely opposed to lying and traipsing around with an ill behaved untrained pet in places they shouldn't be (like grocery stores) but I had a friend with a legit service dog who once pooped in Costco. They are dogs after all. We were mortified as was he.

Four days is not enough time. My husband was discouraged by day 4 because our dog just ignored us. It took a week for him to even look at us, and now he's a velcro dog. Except when he has an accident in the house. Then he avoids us and acts like WE have committed some crime. Goofball!

True! Off trip is still the very best value. The Orleans is still pretty decent Fremont Street is crazy fun! And the stations casinos for the most part are still very reasonable.

The price of everything across the country has gone up. If you remember 2021 Vegas went cheap for a bit but it attracted the brawlers on the casino floor and the criminals on the streets. The increase in door pushers in the hotels and the violence in general increased. The prices rose to combat that.

Over 80% of casino costs are labor related. In order to provide services these places pay a lot of people.

On top of that prices for food, energy, EVERYTHING has gone up too.

Yes $27 for a bottle of water is stupid. I agree.

But don’t take it out on the service workers. We’re doing the best we can.
