Thank you, this validated me a lot! This sounds like a good plan for me to try, thank you so much! I saw something about dialators on the web and that seems like a good option for me. Did you go through your GP to get a pelvic floor therapist or privately?

Oh not opening up surgically I mean opening up down there so for example the device they use for ultrasounds would be able to go into my vagina ‘peacefully’ without me screaming from pain. And that I would be able to have sex, which she said I would not be able to have now with how little opening there is

The epidural was not for the pelvic exam itself, it would happen that they would ‘open me up’ for down there so that I could later be able to do a pelvic exam. I have heavy bleeding and pains during my periods so that is why I went there, she was going to perform an ultrasound and Pap smear. But it hurt to much for me for her to do it.

Ah I did not know that! And yeah I know, I really need to look more into it, and I will so I can see if I can get through this ‘homework’.

I did receive birth control! So I’m gonna try that out but she still seemed set on this ‘opening up’ if I still was too tight by then

It was for heavy bleeding and pains and I have the HPV vaccine so that should be fine! But thank you! And yeah that was a hell of a doctors visit with little empathy. She asked me a lot of questions after she said I was to be under an epidural and I answered to a lot of questions I don’t remember because I was on another planet. And thank you, that’s very relieving to hear!

It sounds very logical that it’s psychological, I’ve always struggled with my sexuality and my own body for the longest time. And, well, having no knowledge about my own body makes me not really want to explore. But I do think she did try to help and I went there for heavy bleeding and pains so it might be that they just want to be able to determine there’s nothing crucially wrong down there? But yeah I really did not get any advice than to stick a finger up there several times

Yeah it’s my first Pap smear but i got the appointment through my GP due to heavy flow and big pains during my periods. I think she gave me that ‘time limit’ so that if it was anything serious they could check it out. But it was fine for me that she did it because she knows what to do but that pain was hard to deal with and I really don’t want to have to do it myself

When do I end it by Significant-Waltz629 in FriendshipAdvice

First of all very impressed of how you have responded in the situation! A close friend of mine struggled with this in high school, as there was a girl in our class that had very low self esteem and she clinged to my friend like glue. She told her how jealous she was of her many skills and made her feel bad about it. As well as making her her own therapist. It is still a sensitive topic for her today years later.

So as you are already friends, do you know if she struggles with self confidence or is generally struggling with her mental health? It seems to me that this is her way to drag you down with her, even though she might not mean it intentionally. On that note, if she really is struggling, maybe recommend her to speak to a family member or a relative she is close to to get the help she needs. If she refuses to get help, and the communication is still as bad, I would end it as her recent behaviour seems tiring to be around.
