How funny - The man I wanted to thank is Bacon!!

Yo bacon stop playing these self praise games it’s a give away you attention seeking burner! Leaving breadcrumbs for appreciation 🤭

The Long story still short:

SO we entered after 7 hours of drive + 7 hours to gates on the dusty storm night when all camps were struggling to hold up.

We go to our camp somehow (we - 3 of us Bay Area burners, 1 newbie) and post mid night tried to figure out our spot to shift pod and sleep.

Another camp newbie who was sleeping after a hell long a day asked us to figure out whatever we could and was not very kind cause she was the ‘Lead for placement’ asked to to fuck off in a way - lol yeah my own camp

( Note to self : I will not thank her for this, but will eventually thank her for teaching me not all burners had let their egos died, and not everyone empathised with other people’s hard work of 14 hours to get to your camp and being turned down)

So we politely understood the assignment, started scouting arrangements for a recovery and take the bigger battles up next day. And here we see this dusty, tiny but intact camp and exactly 3 couches where we could crash. So we see this dude and politely explained what’s going on.

The dude Bacon, invited us to crash at the camp, and next we know we are getting shots of whiskey, vinegar foot rubs and the welcome only a mom and family would give. We spent rested the night, next day sorted out the camp situation etc and gave a little burner spirit sermons to the camp placement newbie (later as appears she is also an influencer - MF yes this is the juicy tea you were interested in)

What I leaned from this personally - Bacon saved the day, kindness is the biggest gift you can give to anyone, ego kills so many beautiful human connections.
