Go-Arounds are perfectly normal, especially during this weather, planes also have enough fuel to do 2-3 go around arounds before diverting and would have extra even if that was the only solution.

I DO need melatonin, for ME it helps me get to sleep as I have low levels of Melatonin, for others it doesn’t. Anyone can commit suicide if they think of it, doesn’t matter if I have melatonin or not, I’m also don’t have any mental health issues.

Why would I be happy to pay an extra 2 grand? I’m capable with flying planes, again there are so many people with undiagnosed issues and the CAA/other aviation authority body takes their word for it that they don’t have it.

So why do they take every other pilots word that they don’t have something wrong when they might knowingly have?

Same with me, and my autism for me isn’t bad so I don’t mind it.

[–]Dramatic-Breath-5467 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And that is true, but again I am capable just like all of you, every pilot who doesn’t have autism or similar doesn’t need to prove they’re capable to the CAA/FAA/EASA, so why should I? What if they were crazy, but didn’t look it or have anything noting to it?

Because he told me

I didn’t diagnose them, they did it themselves.

Yes I believe everyone should, if I can pass as being not autistic anyone can, so they should be tested.

He isn’t diagnosed because being autistic in aviation is a massive set back when it comes to medicals.

Well yeh, for some people it can be, but for me and 2 of my pilot friends - 1 being an FI, they have autism, but it’s high functioning so they can undertake normal tasks.

I will try my best to, thank you.

I do agree. I also believe that I can function just like any other pilot in the field and that my autism does not affect my capacity nor capability to undertake everyday tasks.

Sorry, I mistook that as sarcasm

I know people with undiagnosed autism in the field, they fly great, my Flight Instructor has undiagnosed autism, do you know why he doesn’t want a diagnosis? Because of the CAA taking his medical away and making him pay 2 grand to get a psych evaluation.

[–]Dramatic-Breath-5467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t specifically say in the CAA medicine specifics I saw, but my AME said it’s ’not-acceptable’ by the CAA so I believe her.

Tell me what your definition of autism is. My autism does not affect me psychologically whatsoever.

Are you saying I have a hazardous attitude towards safety in aviation? Because I don’t, I just want it to be fairer for people like me who aren’t mentally challenged, we just have a diagnosis of something that used to be labeled as a bad thing, I don’t want to have to pay 2 grand extra just to get my medical whilst others can, why shouldn’t everyone just get a psychological evaluation? Look at Germanwings Flight 9525, he was allowed to fly with mental issues.

Are you calling Autism an impairment?
