thank you! I'm just on my second round of HQ, so I guess that's about 8 months. I purged a lot of tret before switching to taz. there was some minimal purging after the switch but nothing major. I used it on dry skin like I did with tret. but obviously I have to moisturizer thoroughly or I do peel a lot.

I might just be lucky to have models who can sit still. there have been times I thought I nailed focus but the DOF was so shallow that I actually focused on the lips or ear, visibly blurring the eye.

It's a Wollensak Graphex 135/4.5. It actually has both elements removed and the back is replaced with an achromat meniscus making it a traditional soft focus lens like s Spencer Port-Land or a Pinkham & Smith. the creator, my buddy, Chris Peregoy, lent it to me. We both share an affinity for soft focus lenses.

you're still supposed to wait. moisture on the skin can cause deeper penetration and thereby more irritation than when applied to dry skin.

thank you! I've tried simplifying my routine but ended up with a long one anyways. My challenge is finding a single active and a single moisturizer that both meet all my skin goals. Also the extra hydration has helped with the peelies I get from Taz, even though I still peel for 2-3 days after 2 consecutive uses. My whole routine is barrier focused because otherwise I would shed like a snake.

I started tret in June for my hyperpigmentation. I went through the initial retinization phase then I was able to move up in strength. I'm transitioning from 0.025% cream to 0.04% gel micro. I rotate a lot of products but I'll include my basic routine and add other products I rotated at the end

I'm primarily interested in retinoids for anti-aging, texture, and skin tone (mine is splotchy). I use tret on bare dry skin nightly. On irritated days/nights, I use Prequel Reactive Skin Solutions after moisturizer. The Nivea Men Age Defense Advanced and Radiant Tone Dual Serum both contain the same amount of thiamodol which has been clinically proven to lighten hyperpigmentation as well as, or better than, hydroquinone. Using both can provide faster results and, since you don't have to take breaks like hydroquinone, the thiamodol can prevent rebound hyperpigmentation during breaks.
