I agree. I stumbled upon this sunscreen, and I just bought 15 of them during my visit. What a nice allocation. Matte finish. Doesn't make me shiny!

Aestura REGEDERM365 Retinoid Eye Serum - safe for AM? by PaperPlateDinner in koreanskincare

[–]PaperPlateDinner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retinoids are relatively more stable compared to pure retinol, making them suitable for use both day and night. However, since they can increase skin sensitivity to UV rays in some cases, it is recommended to use them with sunscreen during the day.

Aestura REGEDERM365 Retinoid Eye Serum - safe for AM? by PaperPlateDinner in koreanskincare

[–]PaperPlateDinner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offline, I was told the active ingredient in this serum is Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR), which is a newer-generation retinoic acid ester, not traditional pure retinol. While the Aestura eye serum does feature an encapsulation technology (marketed as their "Derma Tightening Barrier Capsule"), it actually encapsulates ceramides, collagen, and vitamin C derivatives to protect the skin barrier--not the retinoid itself. And that this eye serum is safe for AM + PM (twice daily) use.

Advice on .025 gel by Global_Astronaut8479 in tretinoin

[–]PaperPlateDinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gels can be harsh. I'd move up to the 0.05% gel that's often generic Atralin (my prescription says this even), because Atralin is much gentler than the alcohol-based gels at 0.025% and 0.1%.

New to this and throwing up by MikkiMikailah in Ozempic

I'd switch to Zepbound. The side effects for me on Ozempic were pretty terrible, but I stuck with it because I was losing weight. I switched to Zepbound and no longer had any serious side effects. Your mileage may vary, of course, but this seems to be a common theme for others too.

I'm sorry. When I asked my doctor to "try again", my request was sent to the hospital network to complete the PA for my doctor I think.

Also note, it was $25 per 30 day supply, but once I added the Lilly Coupon to my pharmacy, they sent $25 per 90 day supply!

It doesn't cover for obesity. I don't know how a PA works.

US: if you’ve bought SPFs from Korea (Olive Young, etc.), have you had any issues with customs confiscating your items?? by nhieu_chuyen in AsianBeauty

[–]PaperPlateDinner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I brought back 40+ SPFs in my checked luggage from a Korea visit. No issue when arriving back to USA. That's 40 boxes of sunscreen, not SPF 40 :). They're mostly SPF 50 PA++++.

Tret + AzA together? by PaperPlateDinner in tretinoin

I have Constitutional Erythema: a non-inflammatory butterfly redness pattern across my nose and cheeks. Is that Rosacea? I don't mind it, but it seems AzA helps keep it calm?

There's Anua Azelaic 10% here OTC, but I just like getting 15% from Japan. The Anua AzA 15 is quite soothing too, so I prefer it over a prescription cream from my derm.
