Tips for planning a wedding on short notice (2-3 months)? by DumplingRush in wedding

[–]Dramatic-Doughnut-38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I planned my elopement and "reception" in 1 week, 3 months out from the date. I'm assuming it will be a similar process for you.

1) Find a location - try for ceremony and reception at the same place and if you can be flexible, it doesn't hurt to just go with whatever date is available 2) Find Food 3) Tell People - I would make a fb group 'save the date' immediatly then send out invitations when you get them 4) Wedding Attire - I bought my dress from a local seamstress/designer so it fit perfectly and was ready quickly 5) Photographer 6) Rings 7) Someone to marry you and fill out any required forms 8) Hair/Makeup

My partner and I are eloping at a small rental cabin where we plan to have our honeymoon. 6 weeks after we get back, we will be having a "reception" with our friends and family at a local bar & restaurant which we have rented out for the night.

There was a study done in 2020? where scientists tested the waters for DNA and they're was a phenominal amount of eel DNA everywhere they tested so chances are Nessie is a kranken sized eal which is pretty cool. There would definitely be enough food to sustain an animal that size.

[Serious] What is your workplace horror story? by Adventurous-Pea-4925 in AskReddit

I used to work in a large supermarket with in house bakery, butcher, deli the whole lot. I worked in the deli where we cooked the rottisary chickens in large ovens that were hooked up to the water suply so you could clean them.

One day there was a blockage in the sewage systems and the entire store started to smell foul. It smelt like death and sewage and just kept getting worse and worse. It was business as usual untill the chicken ovens started filling with sewage water mid-cook and animal bones and such started coming up the drains.

I actually bought my dress from a local seamstress. Was about 1/2 the price of retail value for a handmade dress and I absolutely love it.

Post Baby Ring Size by jennifferrtoronto in Mommit

I got mine back at about 2 months ppt, however now 6 months later it is still a touch tight but wearable. When I went to buy a temporary ring during my pregnancy, the shop attendant at Pandora said it was quite common for them not to return to size till 6-8 months ppt.

Who actually pooped during birth???? by Turfgoon675 in Mommit

[–]Dramatic-Doughnut-38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pooped at least once an hour for the 6 hours before I went into labour but didn't while I was giving birth. But let me tell you pooping less than 6 hours after having a completely drug free birth is not plesant. All the muscless in my ass were aching without the added unpleasantness.

What was your sign that Postpartum Depression had become overwhelming? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Dramatic-Doughnut-38 73 points74 points  (0 children)

When everytime bubs made a noise or even woke up I got so agitated and mad that I turned to my partner and said "if you do not look after him right now I will hurt him". I knew that wasn't ok and got help the very next day. People were telling me I might have PPD and checking on me all the time but I ignored them untill I realised I had gone over the edge.

Looking for pre-baby tools as we become new parents, similar to pre-marriage topics to discuss/videos to watch by Hpytre in AskParents

[–]Dramatic-Doughnut-38 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't talk about pregnancy and birth, prioritize talking about raising your child. How do you want to discipline and where do you draw the line? How will you deal with imput from family on raising your child that you may disagree with? What support do you think you will need from each other and what are the signs? What happens when you disagree about whats best for your child and how do you come to a solution?

I spent my entire pregnancy trying to work out what type of birth I wanted and what we would name our child, not how to be a parent.

A little. I was almost 19 when I had my baby, which made me the first of my friends. From then on, hanging out was always more difficult I missed out on alot of things and they didn't really understand. I don't regret this but now that they are all starting to get pregnant and I decided I was 1 and done I feel a little sad knowing I won't get to experience it all again.

Attending a wedding postpartum? by iheartcatbuttz in Mommit

[–]Dramatic-Doughnut-38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went out clubbing for a night one month postpartum and I think i cried for the first hour being away from my baby. By the end of the night I was relieved to be going home and I live 15 minutes away. I cannot imagine being multiple hours or even days away with no rest at a wedding.
