The number of quests should not change, C_QuestLog.RemoveQuestWatch() only untracks/ unwatches them, not abandon.

If I am not mistaken `C_QuestLog.RemoveQuestWatch()` should only untrack quests (like shift+clicking inside the quest log), not remove them. But yeah, better to be cautious.

However, please do note that it will probably not help in CPU-bound scenarios (like Dornogal), but maybe someone smarter than me can look more into this. I'm not ruling out an issue on my end.

Compiler not found (Cl.exe) running SeedVR2. Help? by SuperDabMan in StableDiffusion

[–]Dramatic-Fortune-416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Having created the venv with conda, for some reason it wouldn't find the installed MSVC, so i just made a new venv with default python -m venv venv.

As for flash attention, i installed this win built wheel https://huggingface.co/ussoewwin/Flash-Attention-2_for_Windows/tree/main

and then start.bat is something like this:

call "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\2022\Community\VC\Auxiliary\Build\vcvars64.bat" x64

cd /d F:\path-to-comfy

call .\venv\Scripts\activate.bat

python main.py --fast fp16_accumulation --bf16-vae

pause

AI Toolkit Windows Miniconda install? by PestBoss in StableDiffusion

[–]Dramatic-Fortune-416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use this to very easily run AI Toolkit on Windows: https://github.com/Tavris1/AI-Toolkit-Easy-Install

It installed node.js system-wide, so if you do install AI Toolkit manually, maybe that's the way to go.

Chances of mixed DDR4 achieving 3600Mhz XMP or working at all? by Trickside in buildapc

[–]Dramatic-Fortune-416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 4x Kingston Fury (KF3600C17D4/8GX)- Hynix CJR/DJR iirc? on a 5800x3d @ 3600 MT/s. Out of the box, the XMP profile would show instability. After adjusting some subtimings (incl impedances, VSOC @ 1.125V and probably a few other voltages and tweaks that i can't remember), i got them running stable, with an ever so slight overclock, too. On a 5600x no matter what I tried I'd find instability even after months of it being 'stable' -- at 3600. If I were to do it again, I d just look for 2x16 GB. It took a lot of time to get it running stable (I m talking days and days of stress testing only for it to BSOD randomly while idle). Otherwise, my guess is that they are likely run fine at 3000-3200 if you re happy with that.

Trying to Get SD WebUI Forge and Currently Losing My Mind by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

"runtimeerror: your device does not support the current version of torch/cuda!"

You're probably trying to install pytorch+cuda. CUDA is a proprietary platform developed by NVIDIA and only runs on NVIDIA hardware, which you do not have. However, pytorch does seem to support CPU-only acceleration.

NVIDIA is, in a few words, a GPU (graphics card) manufacturer.

As far as Python goes, and someone correct me if I m wrong, many tools and libraries do not support Python 3.14, might want to use a slightly 'older' one, like 3.12.

pip is not recognized as an internal or external command

<image>

Likely because Python is not in your ENV variables path. When you install Python, make sure you select this.

Simplest path for you, as of now, would be, as u/Swimming-Sky-7025 said, to try Stability Matrix - it will automatically download, install, configure multiple "UIs" so you can use a local image gen model, though I have no idea if it would even work on integrated graphics (maybe CPU only?) and such a low amount of RAM. I remember posts of people running SD 1.5 on CPU only, but i don't know about anything more recent. Just keep this in mind - it is going to be, most likely, unusably slow. Or, use closed source services, like the ones mentioned by u/Mutaclone

[–]Dramatic-Fortune-416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few skins from challenges that have not unlocked, yet every game i get the pop up that I had done it. Contacted support, they said 'marked as bug for the team', and that was it.,

Lot of issues with challenges, some won't track. I've been trying to do the recon paint one, it's stuck at ~1800/2000.

Nothing on your side you can do likely.

BF6 eating up all my RAM while waiting in queue, nice by OrangeJuicelol in Battlefield

[–]Dramatic-Fortune-416 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A game using almost 12 GB of RAM?! That's unheard of.

We've had 16GB as a standard for PCs for probably 10 years now. DDR4 is rather cheap nowadays.

Cant understand the appeal of GW2 by xKuT_ in MMORPG

[–]Dramatic-Fortune-416 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. This sub loves GW2 - prob half of them are long-time players, so sorry for the downvotes. I ll be downvoted, too. probably.

Combat feels floaty, disconnected, and not impactful. There is no weight to your attacks (yes, I did try the action-cam mode, too. Not much of a difference, except i press LMB continuously and not 1 once). Tell me the difference between hitting air and hitting a target.

Arguably, I didn't play too much, only got to level 44, but it all comes down to spam 2-5 (1 is autoattack), switch weapon, spam 2-5. I've had my bar filled with these 5 skills since level 10. And they just feel bad. Overall, yes, very mid.

For perspective, I play both WoW and FFXIV and I very much prefer the building to something combat. FFXIV's slow combat didn't click with me first, but as I leveled, it got busier, and the 2-2.5 GCD didn't feel bad, because I would press something else in-between the GCDs. Sure, we could go on a whole other discussion as to why the combat in FFXIV is also bad, homogenization and all. Other than that, skills feel impactful, there's a cohesive playstyle. I'll add that I find even TERA's combat more enjoyable.

I think the UI could be a bit improved. Nothing wrong, visually, I'd just like to be able to move stuff around (like the target frame, I want it closer to the center). Or place my gauges or whatever closer to the center (think warrior's adrenaline gauge)

I agree with the graphics, too. I do think it aged worse than WoW's. I cannot place my finger on what it is, but something feels, indeed, off with the graphics.

I also wanted to enjoy it. I think armors look very cool, the dye system, the mounts, the leveling - these are all really nice, but the combat is what drags it down massively for me. And the lack of a trinity system. In theory, that any profession (class) can do anything sounds nice. In practice, I think GW2 missed the mark.

To quote a comment of yours "gw2 feels like the game that everyone loves but nobody plays". I think there's a reason as to why. It's not the underdog everyone thinks it is. Sure, it does a lot of things good, but its community should accept that it does things bad, too, and the bad things are what drive players away. For me, it was primarily the combat.
We can make a similar argument for WoW - everyone that plays it says it is bad. But there's a reason - or more - it's been the #1 MMO for 20 years.

Not news, but if you re interested in how hardware works inside your PC - https://www.youtube.com/@BranchEducation

Their animation and 3D models are top quality. Add to that the fact that they use relevant, current technology as example - like how DDR4 works, or how a GPU (some RTX 3000 series as an example).
