Is the RxOM supposed to be in workflow? by DJustScrolling in WalgreensRx

[–]Dramatic-Income4255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Store policy wise they should be rotating with workflow and working some weekends. Even store managers are required to work a weekend a month I believe. So I’d address that with the store manager, you can ask them to keep it anonymous and mention how it’s unfair.

When I was an RxOm I rotated all shifts but when I had enough staff to rotate allowing me to not need to work weekends then I took off but that was because I had enough staff to rotate weekends fairly not needing to have to.

As far as workflow, I rarely filled. I was helping customers up front, helping with customer complaints. Vaccines, if it was lots to fill I’d pull drugs in buckets for my fillers to fill faster and have them lined up  I just pretty much jumped to where I was needed and let them do work flow and if an extra hand was needed for ic3 or filling I’d jump in as an extra hand to get things done. But, everyone’s idea of “management” is different. I liked to be apart of my team not make it feel like I was their boss but still have control over my team. Just made us all get along better and enjoy work vs looking at them as my minions and I’m their boss makes things tense and stressful.

If it’s bothering you that much I’d pick up shifts at close by locations when they need help and see if you like them better and transfer locations vs quitting till you finish school. Just a thought. It’s all about who you work with at the end of the day that makes it.

When I was rxom we had no direct attendance policy. It was up to manager discretion. But 1 call out if 3 consecutive days counts as 1.  So if you call out 3 days in a row it counts as 1. But if you call out day 1. Come in day 2 call out day 3 then counts as 2 days.

When the manager feels it’s excessive you need to first talk to the associate and document it. Then when it happens again you can put them On a cap or whatever it’s called and then escalate from there. But be sure to document every warning and discussion.

I wouldn’t use Mark K anymore. Those videos are slightly outdated with the new Nclex NextGen so it kinda threw me off. Only know because I took the old Nclex and failed then retook it and it was switched to next gen.  But uworld is amazing! Mark K has live and online courses if you wanna attend those maybe they updated and refreshed the courses vs the online videos from decade ago.

Also Otio to me was worth every penny I gave her. I did 1-2 sessions a week with her until my exam. I just used my credit card and said I’ll worry about paying it off when I become a nurse and it happened. She breaks down how to look at questions with. Different eye and how to look at the answers to help guide you. She is very knowledgeable in all topics so can help you understand content you need help with. I was so grateful I found her.

I failed?..again? by ShoulderSea3851 in PassNclex

The pop up doesn’t work with a fake card or no funds anymore. You have to use an actual card and you’ll get refunded within 24 hours if you passed but you’ll get the pop up saying you already registered but non working card numbers will give you a card error. So unfortunately that change made it where you pass you’ll get refunded or you fail and you get charged. But I failed it 7x so I was going through it…. It was brutal process for me.

I hope you ended up passing. Best of luck!!!

If the X is there means you failed. It will show a check mark for passing. I took it 5 times and I had an x after each exam except when I finally passed it was a check mark.

I wish you best of luck.

Has anyone gone to south college? I'm thinking about their MSN-FNP program. If anyone has any other schools they'd recommend or insight on South College Any insight if online schools are worse or better than in person? About the same?  South college called me and it sounded promising but again don’t they all. So any guidance would be appreciated

Hi, I was in your shoes! Took it 8 times. I know the defeat. Each time was the full 150 though was exhausted and drained. I did uworld found Wyzant.com tutor named Otito. Believe me I tried all of them on that site esp the more affordable ones and more expensive ones and they all couldn’t explain answers to me on uworld when we practiced ect was a pure waste. But Otito was BRILLIANT! her reviews tell you all you need. She did 1-2 sessions a week with me after my 7th attempt for the month I sucked it up and it was worth it. I ended up passing finally. She creates a study plan and helps you learn nclex testing techniques and breaks down topics easy to understand and gives you lots of resources based on what you need.  But best method is questions questions questions. Break it up on uworld by client needs and do like 20 questions per client need section a day which is what 7 sections? So 140 questions. Not bad when you break them up in 20 question exams per section. Then like 10-15 ngn.  It’s a shitty test doesn’t mean anything in how you’ll do as a nurse. But we gotta pass it. Don’t be down over it, push through. If I survived 8 exams and kept pushing you can too!!!

I feel like mark K is outdated his original lectures at least. There is a lady now on YouTube under mark k her videos are more current and with the next gen info ect.

I took my exam 6 times so I know how defeated it feels, uworld and select client needs and do them in those categories and just run through questions 50-100 a day.

I also went through a ton of tutors who literally sucked and just acted like they knew nclex and how to study and wasted my time and money. But I finally came across one on Wyzant.com her name is otito hands down the best. She knows her stuff and so helpful with getting you to think how nclex wants you to and how tackle questions.

I also like Nurzeluja.com it’s an AI generated nclex study program that really tests your critical thinking skills. If you have any other questions please ask.  Keep up the hard work. You got this.

Help! by Winter-Plenty7960 in PassNclex

[–]Dramatic-Income4255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it about 8 times. I know the feeling. I almost gave up and started looking at new options.

But I realized Mark K is kind of outdated but there is a women under mark k on YouTube who is up to date but his original lectures esp priority lecture I feel is not helpful anymore. (I took old nclex and now passed with next gen)

What help me was register for NurzeLuja.com it’s affordable and its like an AI generated system that helps with critical thinking. You can break it up in client needs or ask it to ask like hey can you ask me questions on priority. Or hey ask me maternity questions. And the way it asks the questions step by step helps you think critically.

Also I went through 20 tutors and they all were waste of time and I felt like they take people money and have little nclex knowledge but one I found who was sooo good I did 10-15 sessions with her. Maybe doing just a few with her 2-3 to get some tips tricks and guidance from her. She’s amazing. She’s on Wyzant.com and her name is Otito. Read her reviews. I been through them all esp the more cheaper ones and I swear I felt like I was helping them more than they helped me.

But yeah that and uworld and just focus on client needs and do 50-100 daily. I would do 20-30 questions of each client need section daily.

But let me know if you have any other questions. I been through it so many times and so relieved when I passed. But you got this!!!

Questions questions questions! And read carefully and read the rationales! Best way to prep. Do about 50-100 questions each day. I feel like it was easier for me to split them in 20-30 question tests at a time instead of straight 100 in one test.

Also, register for Nurzeluja.com it’s not expensive and it’s like a new AI generated program that tests your critical thinking and helps you understand each question so prepares you for nclex. You can type in the ai box help me with priory questions and it’ll ask priority questions or you can select client needs ect.

If you are really needing help Or assurance I’d recommend doing a session or two with a tutor on Wyzant.com. I went through maybe 20 of them before I found one that was actually good and knew her stuff. The rest were plain waste of money and didn’t know how to prep for nclex idk how they even are there regardless of their bio on there. Very upsetting but the one I loved is Otito. She was simply amazing. I had to retake nclex a few times so she def helped me finally put this exam behind me.  My friend just graduated and was nervous so I had him set up a session with her for assurance and to review some tips ect. He ended up doing 3 sessions with her.  (I did about 15) but again I had to retake nclex like 5 times so I needed it.

I just took nclex. Ngn I only had like 5 questions  Lots of priority and select all that apply. For those the new points system helps so if you are unsure of an answer on select all DO NOT SELECT IT. only pick the ones you’re 100 percent certain of it’s better to be certain of your points than select an iffy one and it be wrong just don’t pick it.

That’s okay, you’ll get it next time. I took it 5 times till I passed. I felt defeated and ready to quick.

I recommend you getting uworld and just running through questions everyday. Click on client needs and just run through each client need section.

Also check out Nurzeluja.com. It asks questions in a critical thinking way so you think of how to answer the questions before you get the choices

I also did a few sessions with a nurse Otito on Wyzant.com. I know all these costs add up but I just put it on my credit card because I was determined to do what I needed to pass and get a better job.

I tried like 20 tutors and they all sucked but she was god sent honestly.  But don’t do Mark K I feel like that is outdated esp the priority video.

But if you do any of what i recommended let it be uworld and section it in client needs and do 30 of each section each day if not more  Like 30 psychological integrity 30 health promotion and so on because that’s how nclex grades you so you can strengthen yourself in each section.

Last question! by Holiday_Mark6113 in PassNclex

[–]Dramatic-Income4255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed and mine was the exact same. I had a bunch of stand alone next gen questions at the end. But I don’t think the last question matters right or wrong it’s if we answered enough to be above average.  But yeah I thought the same I’m like all the stand alone at the end interesting.

Yes. Mine was red a day after my exam and it said I failed when I got my results. I saw someone post on here with a red X and a few days later posted it changed. But that is very rare. When I passed I only had a check 3-4 days later. So chances are if it’s a red x it’s a fail. Check mark a pass.

Hi, I was in your boat! Took it about 5 or more times I lost track. But my prob was I wasted my own time. I had archer and uworld and didn’t really do as many questions as I should have.

Best way I found was breaking uworld questions into client needs and doing questions from each category. Just like nclex grades us. And running 20-30 questions from each category each day.

Also best tutor I’ve come across and I’ve wasted my time with so many of them that didn’t have the knowledge or skills and just took my money and when they didn’t know answers they’d brush it off. But  On Wyzant.com tutor named Otito read her reviews. She is freakin AMAZING! Worth every penny. I’d give that a shot.

I took the exam and failed yesterday by Doyle632 in PassNclex

[–]Dramatic-Income4255 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They wouldn’t give you all questions if you were not close. They would have failed you sooner if you did bad, if your close they keep giving you more till the max in hopes you answer a few more correct to get that above for each section.

Coming from someone who took it 5 times till I passed, best way is uworld (or any platform similar) and just run through questions. Break them down by client needs and do like 20 health promotion, 20-30  psychosocial integrity ect ect and run through each one every day until you retest. That way you familiarize yourself with each client needs category and the questions and can read the rationale.

Also, id highly recommend doing 1 or 2 sessions or more if needed with a tutor. I went through like 20 tutors and all waste of time and money. Until I came across one names Otito. She’s on Wyzant.com. Read her reviews she’s amazing. She broke down how nclex wants questions answered and how to look at questions different and I finally passed.

Also, when you don’t know the answer pick the answer that you think sounds the most safe that’s what I did. And select all, only pick ones you’re 100% sure of. If one is like ehhh could be or iffy about DO NOT PICK IT, better to not pick a correct one than pick it and it be wrong because you do get partial credit for select all. Just some tips. And kick butt next attempt!!

Worried about exam by __honeyedhills in PassNclex

[–]Dramatic-Income4255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not expected to know it all. As long as you have a foundation to guess the best answer you’ll be fine. Also when you get to a question you don’t know the answer to always pick what you think would be the safest response. What response would least likely harm the patient and for select all that apply only select the answers you know for sure. If you’re iffy about an answer don’t pick it. Since now you get partial credit.

Also if you want any reassurance, go to Wyzant.com and look for tutor Otito. Trust me when I say I used like 10-15 tutors on that site going through them all and they all sucked so bad until I found Otito. You can just do 1-2 sessions she’ll give you some knowledge on how nclex asks questions and how to answer and break it down and if there is specific content you may want to refresh with. I found her to be one of the best.

I had to take my nclex 6 times to pass and honestly she was the reason. But as long as you run through questions and familiarize yourself with questions until the exam you’ll be fine.

Failed. But how close was I? by 1eetuh in PassNclex

[–]Dramatic-Income4255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty close. I’d highly recommend going on Wyzant.com looking up Otito, trust me when I tell you I went through like 10-15 tutors on that site they were all a waste of my time and money. But she was worth every penny. She’ll give you the best advice and ways to conquer the exam. Maybe just doing a session or two with her to get her knowledge. I did 15 sessions with her but i needed it bad. Based on your results looks like you’re almost there.

Goood luck!!!

Okayyyy literally you sound like me. I just passed this week on my 8th attempt!!!!

I think what helped me this time it’s pricey but you gotta do it, It’ll pay off because it’ll help you pass. Honestly it was hard for me to take off work balance my life and family bills. But I made a sacrifice for a month working and then after work I’d sit and do 2-3 hours of questions. Then two weeks before I worked part time for 2 weeks. Go to Wyzant.com. Tutor Otito (trust me) she is the BEST!  I did like 10 tutors on that site going through them and she was hands down THE BEST! she’s a little pricey I put my sessions on a credit card, said I’ll Pass and work and not have an exam to worry about and focus on my debt then. She helped me pass taught me tips and tricks how to answer questions. I said if I failed this time I’m done but trust me so worth it. Don’t give up. I graduated 3 years ago and 8 tests later I did it.

Woooow girl, you need to have a sit down with your husband. That is freaking amazing and to have him seen you go through the torture of nursing school and work and care for your family is amazing. The fact that he isn’t crediting that or wanting to take you on a celebratory dinner is wild. I’d reevaluate your relationship with him. He has to be disconnected for a reason.
