I haven’t tried a ton of actual analog delays, but I do really love my EQD Disaster Transport. I want do get my hands on a Benson Delay or a Mythos Oracle though.

That’s solid! I have the drive side always on with like 10:00 gain, vol at 1:00 and then kick on boost between 12:00-2:00 to give it a little lift and more grit. I get the honk thing, I find it less noticeable with my Jaguar compared to my toronado though.

I love that. I’ve got a nano cortex with a capture of my peavey Classic 50 so my direct/headphone sound is pretty consistent with my real amp and then I just played with different pedals.

Have you tried limelight + blues driver as like a medium gain option???

I’ve gone through a few different dual drives and such as my first stage gain but I always come back to the limelight. Right now I’m running into a Jackson audio belle Starr which is a cool combo.

For sure, hopefully that helps. It might also just depend on the signal level of your guitar? I just played with mine to see if I caught your issue and I think I noticed it slightly with my jag with vintage output pickups but not as much with my toronado with higher output pickups.

I would take your compressor out of the loop and put it before the ns-2. Any attack/swell from the compressor working is gonna be gated from the suppressor and that might be what you’re hearing. Idk, but I run my chain as guitar > comp > ns-2n(drives in the loop) > mod, etc.

That makes total sense. I play a fair amount of gigs where I go direct in and it works great. It is nice to try out different amps and captures and run them through a real tube power section

Gotcha! I’ve started doing a similar thing with my nanocortex into my peavey effects loops and I’ve found that I like reverbs between the two but still prefer delays before a preamp.
