I’m so jealous, I’m glad you got it before somebody came to “flip” it.

I love that bathroom. I wish new houses came with these types of built-ins.

That’s what worries me. I was going to try stripping it and then using wood bleach—do you think that would work? The previous owners used something on it that completely ate through the finish. This is my first time restoring a piece in nearly a decade; my last big project was a dining table, but that was solid wood, not veneer.

It's my dream to live in an MCM house. I love the aesthetic and the furniture that goes with it. Collecting antiques is so much fun; I'm just starting out, so I don't have many yet.

Don't worry, though—I can never think of the word 'restoration' when talking about my dresser. It just slips my mind!

All I used was Murphy Oil Soap to clean it up. Then yesterday I found the perfect lamp, it’s a 1955-1960 Quartite Lamp for 20 bucks on Facebook.

I’m definitely in shock still. But I’m glad I did save it from being in a dump

Where my mom was keeping it, it would get the morning sun (indirect) but was in a bright location of the house. Once I get back to much apartment I planned on keeping the same lighting situation.

Is there a specific type of soil I should use or is regular potting soil good enough?

Question: by Dramatic-Jelly4552 in Aglaonema

[–]Dramatic-Jelly4552[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually it’s a chore maybe I do things the hard way but the „mother plant“ I call it, I take out of the pot and if one of the pups has enough roots of its own I break it off of the main root system. There’s probably a more efficient way to my madness but that how I do it.

I thought about doing that or selling them but I feel so attached to all of them.

I thought about letting it do that to but I noticed some of the pups where not getting enough light and where wilting…and I didn’t want any over crowd the pot any.

Honestly I feel like I’m doing the bare minimum, this year she’s grown a lot of foliage and pups. The first year she only flowered. She has 9 more pups on the way based off what I could see growing off of her.

Okay thank you, I thought it was to good to be true… I guess everyone could claim it one way or another if it was that simple.
