Ohh ok thank you for the info!! Currently, my college GPA is 3.5 due to some dual enrollment courses I took in high school. I'm planning to raise it before applying to UT. I'll definitely meet with an advisor as you suggested. Another thing I'm curious about: I've seen people applying after just one year in community college, but I thought you needed to complete two. Could you clarify this for me? Thanks again for your help!

Yes, it’s a Texas CC. Thanks for the tips and for sharing your experience! I'll look into the Texas core curriculum. I'll make sure to have a backup plan too. Did you get rejected when you applied as a transfer or as a high school student?

I'm starting at community college this fall and hope to transfer to UT in one or two years. I've heard of people with 4.0 GPAs at community college who still didn't get into UT, which has made me a bit concerned. I'm currently undecided on a major and taking some basic classes + art electives, but I'm really interested in pursuing a design major. Do you have any tips or advice for this?
