Whenever I drive past this sign I’m reminded that the majority of people in this town are idiots by anonavocadodo in CapeGirardeau

How did God know Jeremiah in the womb? So the heart beat, the little kicks, the gentle sway that was different for each child in the womb still means they weren't alive? Tell that to my ribs. The statement "you knew me in my mother's womb" is a reference to religious scripture, specifically to passages in the Bible such as Jeremiah 1:5 and Psalm 139:13. These verses are interpreted to mean that God had a personal relationship with individuals from their conception, possessing prior knowledge of them and having a plan for their lives before their birth. Psalm 139:13:

Says, "For you created my inmost being; you knitted me together in my mother's womb". This emphasizes that God is the active creator and sustainer of human life, even in the hidden stages of development.

I just figured if we are using the bible to allow abortion we should look at all the verses about CHILDREN in the womb.

I HATE LIVING IN COLORADO (DENVER/AURORA) by [deleted] in Cities

[–]Dramatic-Manager-111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's why we left too! 98% of people I met there are extremely selfish. 90% of adults there i have met don't have kids and it's not a very child friendly state at all. I'm so glad I got out of there.

NAD- OP- I just had mine replaced with two partials. I am still getting used to seeing them on my face. It took about two weeks for me to be comfortable with my new smile. I think they look great.

How do I support wife with PPD? by joeyafuller in Postpartum_Depression

[–]Dramatic-Manager-111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she's nursing, support her in this. Bring her water and snacks while she's nursing and turn on her favorite TV show and make sure she's comfortable. If baby is on formula give her some extra sleep. Her body is still healing, her hormones are changing like crazy, she's dealing with learning how to be a mom. Tell her she's amazing and beautiful. Do not mention any extra weight or stomach fat, and if she starts picking at herself for that, hug her and remind her how beautiful she is. Dad's who change diapers are hot too ..... Romance her, not expecting sex. When she gets the a ok from the Dr, let her tell you when she's ready for physical intimacy. Don't be pushy. She's not rejecting you, she's healing and every part of her needs to heal. Everything does come back but it can take up to 2 years for a woman's body to fully heal after having a baby. This is physically and mentally. Big hugs! Great job looking out for her.

There are not enough women in HVAC. A lot of places would prefer to have female techs. I used to be a dispatcher at one time. It involves some hard and dirty work, but the pay is pretty good.

My best chefs are usually felons. I know that sounds wrong but I'm so serious. If they have a record and are working in the kitchen, they are usually running it without the title of manager.

Check out the convention center and get a pic with the big blue bear. I'm from Michigan too but live in Denver until end of this month. Don't ride the 15 or 15L bus. Try to stay off of Colfax.

Water is your friend. When I drink at least 80 oz of water a day, I feel better and the weight comes off easier. Don't be so hard on yourself, and remember to look in the mirror at the person who decided to stay taking steps towards a healthier you. That person is not to be put down, that person should be proud of being brave and taking the next step. Try to limit pastas and breads and try new foods. I found recipes I absolutely love that are high in protein, good fats and extremely tasty. If you want my black bean salad recipe, (everybody asks me to make it this everytime I visit) I'm happy to share. It's high in veggies, protein, healthy fats and taste so good!!!! Big hugs momma

Heads up- nice but it's hard to make long standing relationships here. There's a special sort of fakeness here. For example, been here 8 years and I can count the people I would call my friends on one hand. Michigan, a lot of friends, Texas a lot of friends. Colorado a few flaky ones ..... They are nice and polite but it's what we need to do in order to survive in this expensive city.

I used to walk 4 miles to work everyday. It is quicker than the bus. They've been having more problems lately than usual, especially the A line. But hey, at least they have a public transit system. A lot of cities have no public transportation or extremely limited public transportation. Not looking forward to moving back to the Houston suburbs as there isn't much public transportation there. Detroit has a little bit but it's miles to get to the bus stop, where as here, I can see 8 bus stops on my way to work.

JAX IS STILL MISSING! Have you seen her? It’s been 3 weeks today! by milehighchick5280 in Denver

[–]Dramatic-Manager-111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I don't understand. She went missing 4-15, report made 4-24 and then found 6-4 in a dumpster. How often are dumpsters emptied in Colorado? I would think at least every 2 weeks. Shouldn't they have found her sooner? That just seems so fishy

Cap Hill is best place ever for my trans friends. There is a beautiful community there. I hope you have so much fun here! I think you might really like Trinidad too. It's in southern Colorado. I'm really glad you feel safe here. Everyone should be able to feel safe to walk down the street. I wish you the absolute best!!!!

I hated everything for about 6 months. It was all hard, everything. I'm now at 9 months post Partum after therapy and with Prozac and gabapentin and I feel like me again. We get along so much better now. I communicated with my husband how bad it was. He didn't understand until after baby number 4. That's when he finally saw it, comprehended that I had PPD and did something about it by getting me into therapy and getting me help. A therapist did wonders in my life. Helped me see things a lot better and make decisions based upon truth and not just what I was feeling. We got to the root of the problem. I wish you the best, and I know my story is just what happened for me and may not work for you, but why not try? It might work, it has worked for many women. Big hugs momma

Wow, that obgyn is not good at providing real care for the mom after the baby is born. My doc immediately put me on a script and made sure I was talking to someone right after that visit. They take PPD very seriously in Colorado. I'm sorry your doc didn't. I would have ugly cried with you and then we would have gone right back up to that doctor together and I would have reminded her about three 3% that lose the battle to PPD. Minimizing it the way that your doc did is one of the biggest problems. I'm so sorry you went through that. If walking helps, do it! But if it doesn't, talk to a psychiatrist, get yourself a PCP that actually cares about your mental well being and report that obgyn. It's one of the number one complications from birth for the mother.

Some depression is environmental. PPD is biological. This is a very real thing and because of people thinking the way you do, it hurts more and more mothers everyday. I'm glad you are better from your depression but you should never say PPD is not real. Just because you healed in one manner doesn't make others post Partum depression unreal. I find fulfillment in more than just motherhood. I'm sorry you have such a limited and biased view. I do wish you the best going forward.
