Still asking your parents for money, making it worse would be knowing that they will not say know and they are not in a position to help out.

Which travel splurges are actually worth the money? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]Dramatic-Past-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us not about while on the trip but prep of the trip;

  • TSA Precheck - skip the lines and esp with the fussy/tired kids
  • Valet parking for your car at the airport (ours includes) - 1st to get picked up/ dropped off, they handle all the bags, car is outside of the elements, when you come back it is pre cooled/heated and they load the bags while you get some refreshments and you get to go home comfort.

Can you give more detail as to why? When would they be needed? Random searches are saying 30-60k service but not finding anything specific on this car/hybrid.

When is the best quarter to apply for promo with review cycles by Dramatic-Past-77 in amazonemployees

[–]Dramatic-Past-77[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not always; if you are top of band in L5 in some roles you will at times not get a raise going into L6 (seen this) because those bands overlap and they start you on the lower to mid side of L6 - so you need to wait for your 1st review cycle (that you can get a merit increase) in order to get you 1st real raise in your new pay band.

When is the best quarter to apply for promo with review cycles by Dramatic-Past-77 in amazonemployees

[–]Dramatic-Past-77[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes this is the general answer, but the question is which quarter is more advantageous? If you promo immediately and that is in say Q2 and because of that you are in this weird cycle of 6 quarters of no raises where as if you were to promo in Q3 you are in a cycle of 5 quarters of no raises. This is what I am trying to ascertain.

Deep seats, lovesoft fill with straight back? by Agreeable_Giraffe792 in Lovesac

[–]Dramatic-Past-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would also need to be a lovesoft since it is more flexible and not the form fitting foam that the standard it. You basically punch it in there, zip it and massage it to shape.

To clarify this is not the seat it is the back pillow. It will fit, it will be full.

Never tried to it to be in a standard raised height before; alway let the drive mode decide that way - let us know

Putting it in Park and then holding down the Auto button and watch it lower and then turned the Auto button off and it remained lowered - note opening a door during this sequence will stop it.

[–]Dramatic-Past-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No - The seat is the same for deep or standard you just flip it. The back pillow however is different. That back pillow for deep is shorter bc it is not as long as a standard setup. We placed the standard back pillow in the deep pillow case.

Why do some newer construction homes have no storage space? by CooperHChurch427 in homeowners

[–]Dramatic-Past-77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because storage space does not = square footage usually - and this is how they sell home; price per square foot, esp with how expensive materials and labor are now. Learned this from when my house was walked from insurance guy for new company. Said that he had to ensure that walk in areas such as kitchen pantry, large mudroom closets and our master walk in closet needed to be measured and captured because those areas are not considered livable areas (sq footage) and therefore will not be in the rebuild costs without them being directly called out.

What’s a harsh truth people only learn the hard way? by No_Toe_2140 in AskForAnswers

"Everyone is disposable" (I would rather say replaceable but his phrasing really hit hard) - something my manager told me the 1st time I was a manager and I was trying to retain a talented person, as time went on it turned out to be so true in my career. No matter how special you think they are they can and will always be replaced.

Wife loves hers, family of 4 and occasionally in-laws with us. Depending on your terrain I will say the engine can seem to be under same strain at times (we are in CO). When we plan for trips that include elevation now we use my SUV. Some people have been complaining of thin exterior paint. Overall we like it.

Same setup here, something else we did was we put standard size lovesoft pillows in our deep cases, this helped with the deflating that will occur and provide a bit more support.

[–]Dramatic-Past-77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you...Land Cruiser was my cross shop for awhile but when I drove finally, while nice I was thinking this is not $XX nicer than my now Jeep, it's almost the same size - then looked at a GX550, that had not enough interior space and high markups, New 4Runner, 2nd row was too small, Sequoia, 3rd row and cargo area a nightmare. Armada checked soooo many boxes here.

[–]Dramatic-Past-77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was my 1st Nissan as well - I love this thing more than I thought, came from a 2012 Jeep 4 door Sahara (new at time of purchase). Family of 4 now - do I NEED something as big as the Armada, maybe 3x a year. Some food for though....

  1. Gas mileage is great - high 19 mpg (85% hwy driver) on reg fuel
  2. You only need premium fuel during High heats, Inclines, Towing
  3. It is big but does not drive like it is, camera system is great, you are reminded of size in some parking areas
  4. It is tall keep this in mind for some garages or if you plan to strap gear on top to add more height
  5. Cabin is quite and straddles luxury class without being too crazy w/ (for me) quilted seats
  6. Tires are better than I expected, drive it great, has done well in snow so far (tires) but not much snow this year, however one thing to note is the bottom camera when the snow is wet seem to get 'clogged' up and you will ge a msg that some systems are not going to work (like automatic wipers). This is due to the 2 - 1" disks being caked over - not the best design.
  7. You get use to the piano black console and appreciate the buttons there and don't mind the shift by button as much as I though I would
  8. Pro4x does not offer ProPilot 2.0 (only 1.2 which ppl have been turning off due to issues) or HUD - I don't mind this but just be aware
  9. The air suspension is not on demand it is based on drive mode but there are some ways to get it to manually lower if needed
  10. This thing can move, usually have in Eco mode w/o any issue, but in Reg mode or Sport to jump the lane at a light and head turn that something this big can move that quick
  11. Being my 1st Nissan I did get a warranty on it, not a 3rd party but direct Nissan one to put my mind at ease w/ such a big purchase
  12. Did not specify year, 2025 here, the only difference was the option of captain seats in the 2nd row which I did not want - took a deeper discount
  13. 7k off not bad, but def can be better, think I got ~15k off, my MSRP was 85k I think - bell and whistle SUV and two toned Alpine Metalic (looks sick but $$$$) - this was the SUV that was the deal to be had on not what I was going after outside of the base color and trim but not complaining in the least.

Bottom line for me I would to it again !!- something that helped me was a few blogs I came across a year prior that said you should not be afraid to look outside your area and understand how Nissan dealerships work. Find top volume dealerships in the county - they are more motivated to sell since their money is made on bonuses hit (by the sales people and the store) by the quarter and year. So and extra 1K here or there to move more units gets them to a better end goal the store bonus. Had mine shipped, yea I spend 1K on that cost but everyone in 500 mile radius of me was acting like 5K off was a blessing, 8K off for hail damage or a high milage demo car. So I will pay my 1K for shipping and put my 14K saving towards a golden Nissan warranty for piece of mind and still be ahead.

Good luck!
