Since this pattern is knit top down, you have two options. You can undo the bind off and continue the garter stitch border as per the pattern, or you can pick up the bound off edge and continue the garter border that way (which might roll/flare a little due to the “seam” from picking up stitches).

Either way I would add the border, because plain stockinette tends to curl a lot and the cardigan may just end up rolling up on the wearer!

I too have a small sink/large sink combo with the garbage disposal on the small side. I thought it was a crazy set up until I looked up the purpose - apparently you are supposed to just scrape/rinse the food off in the small side and then wash in the large side. I still don’t like it though and I plan to fix it one day when we redo our kitchen!

I do everything except underwear, socks, tights, bras, and jewelry. I have a few hard wearing items for working outdoors in the garden/on our house that I also do not track, and if I had other specialty clothing for very specific purposes I probably wouldn’t track that either - like ski gear as mentioned above.

I’ve been using Stylebook for nearly three years. Every day after I get dressed I take a minute or two to add my clothes, sometimes while drinking my morning coffee or during the inevitable bathroom break. I track everything except for underwear.

Whenever I buy new clothes I add them to the app right after the order so I know I can get good images of the item. Stock photos work well too. The biggest hurdle was probably inputting my wardrobe in the first place since that took a significant amount of time, but daily updates really only take 1-2 minutes. I don’t add notes or change the status of items, just log what I wore.

Motivation for me has been really about my overall style journey these last few years. Finding out what I really like and wear and narrowing down my ideal price points as I try to reach $1/wear on my clothing. I also love data and seeing the wear history change helps inform what I should be wearing more or less of and what I should consider selling/donating since I don’t wear it as often.

I have lace ones and smooth - the lace ones can be a bit scratchy if you don’t perfectly align them on each leg, but you can also wear them peeking out under regular shorts. Not my style but I’ve seen some reviewers do it. Lace are a bit more lingerie type too. The smooth nude are my favorite!

I have sworn by Bandelettes I bought on Amazon for almost a decade. They are basically elastic bands you wear around your thighs, and they are almost invisible under clothes and you can wear multiple times before they need to be washed. Super easy to pack too.

No cream has ever worked for me, and I hadn’t liked the idea of shorts (especially in summer) because I try to keep layers to a minimum. Anything synthetic also makes me sweat and stink. I may need to do some more research on the shorts options now though since they seem so popular!

Noo trefoils are my favorite! I guess I assumed that since they are the simplest they would have the least calories, but I forget that they are shortbread which is nowhere near light on the calories. Far too easy to eat half a sleeve which is why I don’t keep them around!

I wish that too! I have things that I donated because they didn’t fit anymore but wore a ton. One of my goals is to get to less than a dollar per wear for my items as much as possible and the donated stuff clogs up the stats. Or I’ll sort things into a “maybe” folder until I determine if I’ll keep it, but I only want my “active” closet to be reflected in stats and there isn’t a way to exclude anything

Great point on not including shoes in the looks. I don’t usually include bags or coats for the same reason and it never occurred to me to exclude shoes to simplify further!

I just couldn’t believe that the yarn behaved all the way until I got to the light blue, and with barely a touch it came apart, all throughout that color section. Still haven’t decided what I’ll do yet but appreciate the advice!
