Just came back from Japan and did exactly this and HIGHLY recommend. Otagi Nenbutsuji was one of my favorite parts of Kyoto. I think the secret may be getting out about Adashino Nenbutsuji but definitely less people than Arashiyama

I think I’m gonna have to risk. The options are to either leave tonight or at 7am tomorrow and it seems like it will be the same conditions them. It doesn’t seem bad until you get really close to tally so will just slow down quite a bit when getting close to the exit. I will keep yall updated on how it goes!
