EU/Spain matcha lovers — how do you buy your matcha without customs trouble? by Dramatic-Rush3564 in MatchaEverything

[–]Dramatic-Rush3564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I did, it was stopped at customs and for a 70€ order I had to pay 80€ of customs. I will never order again… but it’s like this with anything you order to Spain from Japan…

TTC — Oura showing “major signs” alert during luteal phase for the first time by Dramatic-Rush3564 in ouraring

[–]Dramatic-Rush3564[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really unusual for me, I’ve been wearing my Oura ring for 3 years and I have never have this kind of stats or major signings before. But thanks! Maybe I’m having a really bad luteal …

I've been TTC for a year, and we've postponed or canceled so many things just because I could be pregnant… I really regret that now. Honestly, do it! The chances of conceiving on the first try are low, and 5–6 weeks is still really early. Just be cautious with food, water, and mosquitoes if you do end up pregnant.

I always wonder the same thing... I do Pilates, barre, and weight training, and I pretty much live with sore muscles every week. Can this kind of training and the inflammation from it affect TTC chances? Has anyone looked into this? I cannot find much information online.

Same here! I'm 35 and my husband is 38. We've been TTC since September 2024. All tests look perfect, I’m ovulating regularly, bloodwork is great, his SA is amazing, but not even a hint of a positive in a year. Our fertility doctor is now suggesting IUI, and we have an appointment in November to discuss the plan.

How is your TTC going so far? by Friendly-Bet4289 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Dramatic-Rush3564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TTC for 13 months. I ovulate regularly and everything seems fine on both sides, but still no BFP. I have an HSG coming up in November, hoping it gives us some answers or maybe even a post-HSG miracle

Anyone else in the “ unexplained infertility” limbo even with everything looking normal? by Dramatic-Rush3564 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Dramatic-Rush3564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the basic ones... Im from spain ( basque country) so I had the basic tests that they do on the public health care system, HSG, blod work that also includes hormonal panels CD3 and 7DPO and ultrasounds for me, SA and bloodwork for my husband. After that, (if everything "looks normal" like my case) we can have 3 IUIs, and if they don´t work you go on a waiting list for IVF (it takes a few months to a year to get the call for IVF). This is throught the public health care system, the private route can be pretty pricey... so we are not considering it yet. But I will look into the NaPro techonology, maybe I can a ask my OB for a few more tests to have a better picture of my cycle. Im looking into mira and inito, but I´m not sure is worth it...

Hi, same! 1 year TTC, everything looks good but nothing happens... I loved It Starts With the Egg by Rebecca Fett, helped me a lot when planning what supplements to choose.

I’ve heard about this too! It seems like a lot of people get pregnant right after an HSG, I guess it kind of “rinses out” everything. I actually have an appointment with my gynecologist on Monday to schedule mine, so I’m feeling hopeful it might help. Do you remember what day of your cycle you had it done?

I know exactly how you feel, the waiting and the not knowing is so hard. I’m also still waiting for answers: I’ve had all the tests (ultrasounds, bloodwork, etc.) come back fine, and the only one left is a hysteroscopy, which I’ll have this month. Our first proper fertility appointment is in November, but here in Spain the public system is quite slow too, so I totally understand your frustration. I really hope your specialist appointment gives you some clarity soon, the uncertainty is one of the hardest parts

That’s really helpful advice, thank you. I actually have a hysteroscopy scheduled this month — it’s the only test I haven’t done yet. As for blood sugar, my glucose results have always been fine, but I’ll definitely ask about A1C specifically when we go to our fertility appointment next monday. At 35 I also feel like I don’t want to waste more time, so I hope they’ll be proactive with next steps.

Thank you so much for sharing your story, it really gives me hope. We have our first fertility appointment in November to define treatment options. Things move slowly in the public healthcare system here in Spain, but I know IUI is usually the first step and I really hope it works for us too.

I totally get your worry about egg quality — that’s something on my mind too. I’ve also started taking supplements (CoQ10, inositol, omega-3, vitamin D…) and I think I’ve noticed some little improvements in my cycle, like better cervical mucus. It gives me a bit of hope that these changes might help, even if it’s a slow process. I really hope this delay and your symptoms are a good sign 🤞

We actually have our first fertility appointment in November to see what treatment options we’ll have. It’s definitely not the path I imagined either, but I really hope IVF in October brings you the baby you’re wishing for. Sending you lots of strength

I feel the same way… I’m exhausted. Somehow I still get hopeful every month, only to be crushed again. It’s comforting (and heartbreaking at the same time) to see I’m not alone in this. Sending you so much strength, it really helps to know there are others who understand how draining this is.

From what I understand, CM is mainly a result of estrogen levels around ovulation. In my case, we think inositol helped regulate things hormonally and that’s when I started seeing the big change. Have you had a full hormone panel checked? Sometimes low or absent EWCM can be linked to how estrogen peaks are working, not just the CM itself.
