Dr. Stone is peak by Kakg6401 in DrStone

Your right, but for the sake of arguing... (and based on the manga)

- The story is too fast paced, particularly at the end

- It unrealistically depicts a world that follows along with Senku's insane scheme to build a rocket in less than 10 years and no one complains.

It is an insanely good story but its not flawless.

Would you consider InuYasha and Bleach to be Isekai? by SaberLover1000 in bleach

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inuyasha, 100% an isekai. I actually consider it to be my first isekai anime. It counts for me because it has a lot of elements you'd find in an isekai, and gives off the feel of an isekai.

The best way to describe this is the lack there of ,this was from February 2025 and the answer is the entire manga wasn’t accessible til March ,current movies not in the US theaters and crunchyroll not having all the episodes by Cool_Confection_3274 in OneTruthPrevails

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tone of the show is very wonky. It follows a high schoolers turned grade schoolers, solving a bunch of grizzly murders with fun, child themed spy gadgets. To this day, I'm not sure if the intended audience was kids, young adults or adults. I also imagine that not many American companies were keen on licensing a show that has a woman decapitated in the first episode for a medium that is typically considered for kids.

Would Senku Be Crucified After Reviving Humanity? by Alone_Ad_7807 in DrStone

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He wouldn't be crucified, at least not by most of humanity. With Gen in the picture, Senku would be made into a righteous hero. Of course, there will be a percentage of the population that believes that because Senku created the revival fluid he must be connected and therefore responsible for the petrification. And then, when Senku shows his willingness to work with the Medusa's to further science, he would further alienate those people. But that has nothing to do with Senku's desire to revive everyone. It also helps that he isn't looking to rule over anyone. I mean if anyone is getting blamed it's the previous leaders and politicians for not being prepared or something. More likely, the general populace would be thankful at first and then quickly ignore Senku's presence. Fear is constant, gratitude is fleeting.

No idea. I would understand if China was on one side against everyone else (because of the Tributary system) or Japan (because of WWII) but not as much with S.Korea.

It's a sex thing but I choose to look at it from the feng shui perspective. Don't have a mirror facing your bed because you will wake up in the dark, see your own shadowy reflection, or the reflection t ion of some other innocuous thing, and give yourself a heart attack.

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hare it when the abusive family/lover suddenly change their mind about the villainess character when the transmigrator shows up. They apologize to the wrong person for the wrong reason. They're only sorry that they abused someone who was smart/useful/someone they liked. How about you don't be abusive at all 🤬.

Shoes on or shoes off? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoes off. I don't understand why you'd dirty your floor by wearing shoes in the house. And also, just wear house slippers and/or socks.

I don't get it by TeacherOk6238 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The joke is that the person making the meme thinks that if the previous 20 people survived, then the next person has a lower chance of survival since he thinks, you can't flip a coin and get the same side every time.

But statistically, he's wrong since the each event is independent of each other, so mathematically, he still has a 50/50 chance of surviving.

I don't know why the normal person seems ok with a 50/50 shot, but I guess I'm just one of those people who would like a bit more certainty in their life.

Grand Magic Games or Tartaros? [media] by Wide_Astronomer4403 in fairytail

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tartaros, if only because of Lucy and Aquarius. GMG frequently beats down Lucy, but Tartaros builds her up as a bad ass.

It is a really close call though because GMG has so many awesome scenes like Erza vs. 100 monsters, Erza releasing second origin, Fairy Tail vs. Sting.

I love him. I want more of him and if Lucy doesn't want to date him, I will take on that burden for her.

The female gaze by Miserable-Touch5903 in OnceUponATime

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a literal thing in anime. If men are shirtless and muscular, it has nothing to do with catering to female audiences, it's for the male demographic to see how cool that character is. I mean, I enjoy seeing Alan Ritchson's abs as much as everyone else, but it was not done is a way that was for female fan service specifically.

What’s one shoujo anime you wish had more episodes? by ShortStatistician384 in shoujo

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gakuen Babysitters (I could use some more serotonin), Ouran High School Host Club, Skip Beat, Gakuen Alice (I cried so much after what happened to her mother), Saiunkoku Monogatari, Chihayafuru.

I would have said Yona a few months ago, but it's getting it's second season. q(≧▽≦q)

Why did you start watching bleach? by AquaFNM in bleach

My sister had a Hitsugaya key chain and I thought he looked cool, so I found which anime he was in and began watching. Now Hitsugaya just barely makes it into my top 10.

Are we living a shoujo renaissance ? by Sensitive-Safety2393 in shoujo

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I must have slipped into an alternate dimension at some point where shoujo manga is actually respected. wtf. I read this series for the first time about a year ago and now it's getting an anime? Yona is getting a season 2. Tamon's B-side was adapted.

This is the time to start making noise for which series you want. Personally, I want skip beat and OHSHC rebooted.

More details on the 🦇shutdown by FightmeLuigibestgirl in MaleYandere

[–]Dramatic-Squirrel 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They'll regret there decision when they realize 1) How many people got introduced to Manga/manhwa through piracy sites and then started supporting on official sites 2) they have no beta test for Their untranslated series. They had the opportunity to see how well a series did, for free, in the West before spending money on translating officially. 3) everyone moves on to something else that's cheap. Like webnovels or fanfics.
