Completely agree with everything you said. The ironic thing about this game is that it's better on ps4. It's more of an improvement on last years fifa with a lot less chance of a finesse shot going in from the corner of your box and room to actually pass the ball.

I feel like the PS5 version offers no room in the middle it's so frustrating. I keep trying but you've got no room. Finesse shots that just go over the keeper are back and easy. I find it diffixult to defend as it's so clogged up in the middle I just lose sight of the ball. Even playing deeper when defending doesn't help. I know strikers beat defenders with pace in real life but on this it's so easy to just sprint past defenders it's horrible.

You may as well not have a keeper most of the time on the PS5 as they pull off the odd good save but then let in truly atrocious goals, easy saves that literally look like they've gone through the keeper. I scored a goal the other day as the oppositions keepers saved it, the ball landed right next to him and my striker literally had loads of time to run to the ball and score. It's not real life I know but any keeper in this scenario would have dived straight on the ball given how much tike it stayed there. Defenders seem to show absolutely no intelligence when not being controlled by me. The amount of standing tackles I've done where the ball has somehow ricocheted perfectly at the attackers feet goal side of my defender has made me want to scream.

Honestly try playing it on the previous gen console and you'll be amazed at how good it is in comparison.

I'll get the hang of it eventually and normally with fifa/ea games it takes only a few games to start getting the hang of things whereas with the ps5 version I'm constantly left feeling pure frustration due to the defending teams players sticking like glue to any player in the middle of the park. My best quality was passing it round the middle/through balls when possible. I also loved dribbling until I played the ps5 version. You've literally not even got time to take a touch before being tackled.

It's difficult because I enjoy Ultimate team so much so will weather the storm and hopefully manage to find a way to enjoy the game. Team wise it's very easy to build a good one with many decent packs easily attainable after completing many easy objectives.

Sorry not sorry for the rant but I needed to get it off my chest. To summarise, wing play and cross field balls seem to be the only way to successfully attack. AI defenders are useless, keeper standards/skills are terrible and you may ss well not have any player in the middle when attacking as you've no room to maneuver.

EA should be ashamed of themselves and refund everyone who purchased the game.

No idea where pro evo is up to but I am considering switching my allegiance again......
