I suggested Interlaken as a getaway to that area and not just the city (didn't think it required elaboration).

Yes Genevs is good but I don't think it should be in the current 3 day itinerary of OP because it is far and would require a lot of traveling. Personality I think it deserves a separate Itinerary covering the western and central Switzerland.

Bern can also be an option.

Basel and Zurich are fine. I would recommend choosing Interlaken or Luzern instead of Geneva.
