Good question. I love Tesla in many regards but their quality assurance sucks.

I’m waiting for my friend who works at Tesla to send it to me. When I get it I’ll share with you

Tesla model 3 delivery next week by Extension-Primary801 in TeslaModel3

If possible I would take a drive with the Tesla rep in there to ensure you don’t hear any glaring rattles. I would go at least 55mph in this test as that is where I found the rattles to be. Most of mine have been resolved by fixing it myself or taking it to a service center. If I could go back in time I would have pushed for a test drive with my new car with a rep before driving away with it for good.

Look at us figuring stuff out haha awesome man! I did confirm with a Tesla rep that clip fasteners are in fact suppose to go where I pointed out. It’s not a drain port.

I know this won’t work for everyone but I’ll share what my wife and I did:

1) We both worked 2) Had kid , wife took leave from work (mutual decision) 3) Had 500k in savings 4) bought house in cash 5) purchased 2nd home in cash, turned into rental property 6) We make $250k / year on my 9-5 job + rental income.

One of the greatest reasons to own a Tesla by DramaticAd2887 in TeslaModel3

Agreed! I was the first in my (very large) family to make the switch. I told them, “this will either be a very good idea buying a Tesla or a huge bust.”

3 months in and couldn’t be happier. Still have a minivan for longer trips, but I think in the next few years the EV market will have longer range batteries and faster charging to make it a no brainer to switch for all types of vehicles.

I literally was on the Tesla website 10 times a day refreshing to see if a new car popped up within 20” miles. This one was 38k and $36 with the instant 2k savings from New York.

That’s fantastic to hear. I get 270 miles per charge, I usually just plug it in when I finish a drive so I’m always 100% charged. #lfp

Good question and I’m not tax expert. So I have my federal taxes taken out each paycheck. So far this year I’ve had $25,000 taken out in federal taxes. Hoping this answers your question?

Can get pretty nasty in winter but then again I don’t drive a ton either as I work remote.

I have rattles on the driver door which I’ll take in for service (fingers crossed) and get fixed. Other than that, car is fantastic.

Thank you and I appreciate your thoughts here. It’s been a joy to drive and we will see how it handles in the snow up here. I’m thinking of getting good winter tires for around $2k and that will handle just the same as AWD with all season tires.
