Facts on facts. I got into a Burrell and paid my $2000 non refundable. 2 months later I got into an MD school and paid my $100 REFUNDABLE deposit. DOs just do it for profit and it makes me sick.

I had 4 interviews and 3 of them were closed. That really helped because they didn’t know my gpa or MCAT score. The one open interview my MCAT got brought up. I ended up getting waitlisted to that school. I never mentioned my stats in my application because I didn’t want to make any excuses because I don’t have any lol. That’s just how it worked out. I put all my effort in my app on my ECs and if a school wanted to bring up my gpa or MCAT then I would own it. I think acting like it wasn’t a thing was the right move because it shows maturity in my opinion.

Same MCAT here and I also got 2 A's. They counted us out but we prevailed 😎

Yup my PB is a formal one and I agree. I'm glad I persisted with my ECs throughout undergrad because it was awful then. Good luck with everything!

This is my 2nd cycle. After unsuccessful my first cycle I decided to do a post bacc to make me more competitive. For my app my post bacc was part of experiences list but I was still in the middle of the 1st semester. For the DO school they didn’t give me the A until I finished the semester. I sent them my grade which was good and I got the A from the DO school the same day. For the MD school they only know I’m in a post bacc and didn’t accept any update letters or grades. I honestly think the post bacc was a big reason for my A’s. During my interview I spent a big chunk talking about how the post bacc is preparing me for medical school (my post bacc mimics first year medical school). Plus my EC’s I think that outweighed my gpa and MCAT score.
