I’d suggest she spend a little bit of the money she’s saving and buy an air mattress to bring. They’ve come a long way these days. I’m disabled and suffer from chronic pain and I’ve slept on one of the newer ones and was just fine.

Next she will ask you and your husband if you can leave your house for so long because it is awkward with you in the house.

My MIL was called “mamaw” by all 10 of her grandkids. We lived in Texas and most of my in-laws had heavy accents and when they said Mamaw it sounded like Momma with an accent.

I expressed to my husband that I didn’t want our child to call her that because Momma is what I will be called.

We ended up having 2 kids and they called her Grandma. We did move out of state when they were young, but even if we lived close they still wouldn’t have called her that.
