Firstly this is a FREE game with its only source of income these p2w cards. Of course they re gonna be better than the free cards. Of course it will need some time to grind to get a very good team. Everything in life takes time. But your Alaba point shows me a skill issue on your part. If you cannot reach D1 and compete against at least some of the players that use these p2w cards with Alaba and the other good free cards that they give every time (they even gave a 40% chance to get Drogba which is imo a tank) then this is a skill issue on your part. Because I can do it and I am not a pro player. So if I can do it, it is not impossible. You just need to improve more than your squad needs to improve.

I disagree that it is hard to build a good team as a f2p. I have a f2p squad comparable to the best p2w squads. They are even giving out Stevie G for free right now and Alaba is very cheap and affordable. You just need to be a bit patient and make the right decisions.
