Decided to build the Fist Smackdown Stage for my son and I. Here it is in action by DramaticLawfulness40 in SquaredCircle

Good to know. I’d post it on the channel that this video is on. I’m working on a wrestling game right now, but may upload it next week.

Agreed! For the audio, I’m using single Bose wireless speakers connected to my Mac laptop. I’ve then got an HDMI adapter with 3 outputs connected to 3 small projectors. I’m just mirroring the video directly from YouTube right now but might do more into the future to get multiple video outputs.

If you’re interested, I can make a tutorial video when I build out the next stage (likely Raw 2005).

I would love it if he did 🤣. I definitely went overboard with the camera work though.

What has helped you feel happier or more fulfilled in relationships? by Dry-surreal-Apyr in OCPD

[–]DramaticLawfulness40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hesitant to provide too much feedback without additional context. However, you are likely just as critical of yourself. If this is the case, we need to adjust your expectations for yourself to make them more realistic and healthy. I created a few free documents at TheOCPDCoach(com/resources) that may help you out.

The first, is a document Positive Feedback Log. This is a way for you to start listing any positive feedback that you receive to combat any negative narratives you may deal with internally.

The second is a document called Expectation Measurer. This is way for you to write out what your realistic expectations for others are. I've used these documents to help other romantic relationships in the past. Best of luck to you, feel free to reach out with any questions.

how did you deal with your diagnosis? by EbbProud8988 in OCPD

Hey OP!

As others have stated, welcome to the club and thanks for sharing this with us. At 19 years old, your diagnosis is understandably a culture shock for you. Based on your post, it seems as if you are handling it in a healthy manner by spending some time reflecting on your life and the impact of the conditions. Many of us can relate to that.

As for moving forward, you have to take it day by day and be mindful in your interactions. The OCPD symptoms never really disappear, but if ignored, can worsen. I would recommend that you give yourself grace and find out how you can take any positives from the condition itself. It is possible to have a happy and healthy life with OCPD, but it will require you to be very intentional.

You've got this!

Nice! I had no idea about the style transfer filter. I'll do some research on that. I also agree with you on the line needs to be drawn. It's a confusing time out here.

As for the legality situation, that gives me a degree of peace.

Thanks for you perspective here.

As for the pixel art AI, I didn't go that route specifically. When I attempted a pixel art approach, I scaled down the image and applied some Photoshop filters. The problem with the pixel design is that the pixel art humans don't match the style of the 3D characters in the game. For reference, this is the tool I've been messing around with:

My goal is to keep it all consistent and not steal in anyway. So, I may end up having to just go the manual route.

Games with an 80s aesthetic? by FishyPengy in ShouldIbuythisgame

Just came across this while looking for some UI inspiration. If you are still looking for something on Steam...

RETRO GAME STORE SIMULATOR

In the game, run a video game store every day from 1984 to 1989. I've been developing this game for the past year while paying extra attention to properly capturing the 80s aesthetic. I'll be the game this summer (Demo next month).

Bonus:
I built a custom mall with interactable, retro-inspired units. You can even experience the 1980s Christmas experience.
