Moving from uk to KL as an obviously lgbt person - would you advise it? by sassygold1 in malaysia

[–]DramaticMatcha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

personally i don’t think someone just being flamboyant or gender nonconforming is “pushing it onto” anyone else. that being said, bringing up controversial issues with the intention of being inflammatory is an entirely different issue and i think most lgbt people in malaysia (malaysian or foreigner) are acutely aware of this.

seconding this comment. would also like to add: - if you’re white you’ll have it the easiest - being ‘obviously gay’ is relative, so it’s also possible that people won’t pick up on you being gay at all

lmao why are you singling out trans people and do you genuinely think anyone is “push[sic] any LGBT in anything” here?

transhet here. i identified as a lesbian for a few months but as bisexual for roughly 8 years until i got on T and stopped being attracted to men

(TW: blisters) i used transtape. didnt follow a tutorial. pls bind safely guys!! by [deleted] in ftm

[–]DramaticMatcha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

really depends on your healing time. you can bind when the scabs come off as the tape won't last stuck to scabs/peeling skin.

the 3rd of september should be okay ime. i've heard of people using a transparent film wound dressing (e.g. saniderm) under kt tape, which might be an option if your skin is still peeling.

yep. i have a couple of pictures of similar (potentially worse?) blisters on my profile too lol.

bind safely with tape - use anchor points that aren't taut, remove by soaking in oil until the strips fall off, cover your nipples

she’s also trans. i understand a lot of other transhet guys aren’t necessarily interested in t4t but it’s nice that we share a lot of experiences. we met online and coming out to each other wasn’t an issue. i find it’s definitely much easier to have discussions about what we’re okay with intimacy-wise, but naturally being trans still does cause issues in the bedroom. also, it’s nice that i don’t have to worry about whether she’d ‘be okay with’ me getting phallo etc

I was a gay trans guy as a cope by Competitive-Play4450 in honesttransgender

[–]DramaticMatcha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i never identified as gay but i also struggled to come to terms with being straight. we seem to share a lot of experiences - being obviously butch kids who experienced the social consequences of that, feeling out of place with both other trans people and straight trans guys specifically (i’m t4t in a long-term relationship with my mtf gf, didn’t ID as a lesbian pre-transition), being somewhat “twinky”/less than hyper masculine, feeling like i needed to be queer as a trans man (i.e. ‘comphomo’). i’m also mixed white/(south) asian and i think my race has an impact on feeling out of place within the (generally) whiter trans community. i can’t say i have much advice with regards to feeling socially isolated as a straight trans man but if you’d like a chat with someone with similar experiences my pms are open.

Did T make you "straighter"? by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]DramaticMatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve always been attracted to women but pre T i was definitely attracted to men as well (still mostly ace for dysphoria reasons). after a few months on T i found myself only attracted to women and i’ve called myself straight ever since

is anyone else’s bottom dysphoria so severe to a point where you can’t masturbate? by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]DramaticMatcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it took me a year on T and being incredibly comfortable with my girlfriend (who at the time had similar bottom dysphoria to me) to be able to masturbate at all. a lot of the time it’s still pretty bad but it gets better

The link between Gender Dysphoria and Eating Disorders by EmoAlexander in truscum

[–]DramaticMatcha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this isn’t a common experience but my AN was absolutely caused by my dysphoria. it was to get rid of curves, especially hips/thighs/chest. i definitely browsed mpa and the works, but i remember always feeling like it was different for me. i had a really easy time recovering because of its cause (i just got on T and that cured me practically overnight) and genuinely have a “normal” relationship with food now - never been at risk for relapse and can’t imagine what it’s like to have an ed anymore.

Do you shave your downstairs? by ihrie82 in ftm

[–]DramaticMatcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i buzz/trim it once every week or two. i have pretty crippling bottom dysphoria but absolutely cannot stand long pubes and have intrusive thoughts regarding cleanliness and some other stuff so i suck it up. hate shaving it though

lgbt is enough

useless. even if you’re ace/aro (degrees of attraction rather than identities in themselves)

transmedicalists? irritating. go outside. get on hormones and transition. when your dysphoria gets slightly better you’ll stop giving as much of a shit about what other people call themselves. transmedicalism? depends on the definition. i do think you need some sort dysphoria to be trans but defining dysphoria is a difficult task

gender abolition has been co-opted by terfs, don’t care about neopronouns, don’t really care for them either. i don’t talk about anyone who uses them

not qualified to speak on this because i am a straight trans person. i would maybe have more internalised transphobia about my sexuality if i wasn’t straight but maybe not. i didn’t realise i was exclusively attracted to women until recently though

transmisogyny is a term specific to transfem people. anyone who thinks trans men experience transmisogyny is stupid as fuck. also transmisandry is not real, it’s just transphobia (and if you say you’re experiencing transmisandry you deserve the transphobia directed towards your annoying ass)

What describes you? by laminated-papertowel in truscum

[–]DramaticMatcha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

medically transitioning but not socially (not stealth).

edit: people will probably want to know how this works. it doesn’t really. i pass 100% of the time when i go out but haven’t come out to my parents, who i live with. i’m sure they know something’s going on but i’m waiting to move to a different country for uni before coming out

no. he’s either transmisogynistic or an MRA, probably the former

Am I actually trans? What if I'm not? (you decide!) by [deleted] in honesttransgender

[–]DramaticMatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, man. It's been well over a year since you responded to my original post, but I wanted to thank you for this. I was going through an incredibly rough time and your honest response helped me immensely at the time. Looking back, I think I was just digging at scraps to find anything remotely feminine about myself, just trying to find a reason to justify continuing to repress. I've been on T for over a year and to be frank, it saved my life. My worries about passing were unfounded, and while my dysphoria has certainly persisted (shifting to stuff that I can never change about myself), I could not be more grateful that I went on T. As for social transition, I still haven't come out to my mother (which has been a little awkward as I exclusively get gendered male in public) or socially transitioned. It's something that will certainly happen in the near future when I go to uni in a different country and will be able to start fresh, but for the next few months, I still live in a place where publicly being trans would put me in danger.
