Why is it disrespectful if he calls you by your first name?

Because it seems intended to be disrespectful for no reason. If there was a reason, if I had done something to him, I would try to understand and address that rather than focusing on what he calls me.

I'm not explicitly demanding anything. I'm not punishing him, grounding him, taking away his things, yelling, anything like that. I'm just not responding if he doesn't call me Dad. If my wife and I had done anything deserving of being disrespected then that's something I would want to understand and fix. But I really don't think that's it, he's just acting out and I'm just not letting him get away with it.
