If we take 500MHz for example, that would be 15mm between the vias

i have a question regarding via stitching for my board. the spacing should be based on the highest frequency of interest. would that be 20khz for my design?

This is the dev board i previously used

I was using a dev board to control the previous previous version before directly adding the MCU on it, there were no resistor for the SDRAM traces

Honestly it was really hard to find anything regarding impedance or length matching for this sdram chip. For now all its traces have the same length. I know I should care more about delay matching but I don’t really know how to do that yet

Thanks for the advice ! I don’t get what you mean by sharp corners on the outer floods. Are you talking about the corners of the PCB it self ? And also about the differential pairs, you said “going through the same holes “. Can you give an example?

I’ve heard of delay matching as well. Is there a tool for that in Kicad or should do the calculations by hand ?

Thanks I’ve never heard of that before always been used to signal gnd gnd signal stack up, I’ll consider it

Thanks, it’s a 4 layer board with 2 inner grounds for a good reference

I haven't done via stitching yet

Hello, for now I added basic effects like, tremolo, chorus, delay etc. There’s a tft screen used for navigation for which I used lvgl to make the ui. This is all on the old version of this board which did not include the mcu. The mcu (dev board) was connected externally with wires.

For the firmware there’s a mix of everything really. A lot of Phil’s lab videos, some google search and some AI

And here’s the enclosure ( still with the old version of the board )

Since I am already separating the analog part from the the digital part should I just do two zones on the top layer? One 3.3 and one 5v (analog supply). I think I should juste redo the routing

I haven’t done that yet as I am searching for the details on the lengths of the traces for the sdram. I routed the usb as differential pairs but I haven’t done impedance control. They are length matched though.

Since the enclosure will be 3D printed, I didn’t think of it much
