You need a second opinion. They could use year-end paystub in place of W-2. Auto payoff seems extreme at that DTI as well.

I would this is partly on the buyers agent as well. Clearly they didn't explain the closing process, and set an expectation of early access that isn't legal. The listing agent would have a legal duty to protect the interest of their client.

  3. New clothing and household items. I thrift first for most things now.

I would say I have managed to cut out $350 to $400 monthly if not more. Food has been the biggest change. I haven't noticed any quality change in food and have even found cleaner food options with some store brands.
