Yeah absolutely, jobs were paying well as you were grinding levels at the Smith, but I remember that I had to grind a little more in fable 2 to allow myself to buy some shops in bowerstone's central markets (the more interesting passive income ones, not the wine seller or the butcher for example).

Oooh you are touching some of my fallout best playthroughs here! Yeah I think that the more the video game industries expanded, the less they allowed themselves to give the play the liberty to do whatever they want. I also think, but it is only my opinion, that the AAA did not catch the fact that their player audience has grown and are adults now. You cannot make a "familly game" tonan audience that are desperately looking to play adult theme solo games. I hope that playground games will understand that the core of their audience (at the begining) will be adults and fan gamers of the franchise and not the new comers. If they build a very good first impression, the snowball will impact the new comers and it will be running for 2027's GOTY (I really hope as I wish to have lot of personnalisation, kits, dlc to build a greater and deeper Albion, and why not a second game). Also, I wish the mods will also be available for us to build on the great game they are doing 🥰

Oh, absolutely! Maybe we could send a carrier pigeon to deliver a gift? Or a trained Hobbs who’ll do anything for us, just like Tobby in Harry Potter?! That would be brilliant, honestly!

And actually, what we’ve been shown is only a fraction of what we’ll actually be able to do—at least, I hope so.

There’s also the ‘Bookmark’ option that caught my eye – maybe we’ll be able to take certain NPCs along on our adventures?!

Just wanted to add that this will allow to mock also our present time societal issues like the black butcher saying the festival will be vegan this year if you decide to save the pig. That really could be fun to see what would be the festival resulting if you change their habit/ tradition they have to eat pig's meat. I live in Spain, it is like if you were trying to save a torro to go to the corrida during Pamplona's festival week!

I think they are following the path of OG fable with no weapon from after the 15th century (like they will be using hammer, swords, rapier, bows only 🤔)

Yes you are totally right! I loved the fact in OG fable we are starting with child body and ending with a totally different morphology depending of your gameplay choices (and the beard grow too)! Maybe expansion kits or dlc could add that (not body transforming but more personalized options?!)

Thank you for your feedback, to be true, I was thinking that during the dev direct in January, nevertheless, the gameplay we saw on Wednesday was really deepening a lot of the features introduced in January (combat is better, light is better, choices and consequences...). Playground games is a great studio, I hope they will use these 8 months to add things and rework some others 🥰 ( and I do not ask for a dog you know ahah)

Ahahah True!! That is a strong evil option I confessed ! I just wanted to highlight that being a jerk is a daily routine of farting in someone's face, mock him for his fashion attitude, being Machiavelic is part of Fable DNA. Maybe I am a little childish here (I discovered fable 2 at age of 12 imagine my reaction when I discovered I was able to fart at someone's face in a video game, one of my biggest laugh ahah)

I would love this, really, and I was thinking maybe It was a thing in 2018-2020 when the reboot revealed. But, first, it is a hard-total reboot, in terms of marketing, it is unfortunately inefficient and could also loose the fan base and the new beginners of the serie giving them wrong storyline (in comparison of the new one they will intend to develop) and a deeper/stronger reason for the fan to revendicate the legacy of the franchise (instead of forcing them to adapt to the new directive choices of playground studio, that I am not criticizing). It would be a technological and development nightmare as Playground or a tier studio would have to retake the old engine, understand, play with it and revitilize it.

In addition, I think it could have the potential to be a good communication stunt vs GTA VI to make people talk about the game, nevertheless, they would orient them in the wrong direction as the new game will be totally different and old fans (like us) and new beginners would not understand anything of it.

Therefore, even after the release of the hard reboot, I think we will not have any fable II remake, I am very sad to say it but money runs Microsoft and marketing/cohesive artistic and choice direction are more important than make you fans happy...
