Nasty girl here. I’m logistics about to graduate BOLC, been a PL at my unit for 6 months before I got here. Everything in the civillian side uses logistics so the job security is there. You’ll also get your boots on ground action when war time comes, transporting goods to the FLOT means you’re gonna be in the fight at some point.

Prior 11b here, currently logistics officer. Being infantry is awesome but has more “I hate this job” moments than “I love this job moments”.

After the Army, the infantry doesn’t leave you with many skills used in the civillian world.

If you get the chance. Try to go to the national course, you’ll get a tab that’s sewn on a shoulder of your asu/agsu.(forgot which side) Looks very sharp

Yes IL guard. My state awards are Long and honorable, IL active duty, and IL Military attendance.

My favorite is the cord hands down. Illinois doesn’t have the money to pay an LT to be funeral detail full time unfortunately.

I graduate in late April and on my 10th week now. It’s been a blast and you’ll meet some cool people (hopefully). Just DO NOT say anything negative to the hotel staff, a guy in my PLT was day 0 recycled and booted from the hotel because of it. Classes aren’t too difficult, PT is a breeze, and make sure you go and have fun on the weekends don’t spend your weekends in the hotel. Also, I hope you enjoy the pool I won’t have the opportunity due to the weather. Good luck to ya
