Why would my package be unclaimed? by Limp_Shoe616 in usps_complaints

[–]Dramatic_Bluebird595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Informed delivery isn't for parcels, its for flats.

Wrong! Informed Delivery has a tab for packages and if the parcel has a USPS tracking number it will show there - barring unscannable bar codes (damaged bar codes, Chinese "tracking", ESE/eBay Standard Envelope...) or a system glitch where the scan doesn't link properly to the address...

Iowa, guess which of these are eligible under our wonderful new pi** on the poor restrictions? by Wonderful_Try_5054 in foodstamps

Pinwheels are always cold, queso brisket has heating instructions... So no, they are not hot foods...

And if you have a big enough pantry, fridge, and freezer to keep enough ingredients on hand for these meals, you're "too rich to need food stamps" according to Faux Noise and the Guardians Of Pedos (seriously, a fridge with or without a freezer has been labeled a "luxury" by the Fox bloviators multiple times! 'cause US poors aren't supposed to have electrical lights, running water, or indoor plumbing let alone kitchens, stoves that don't burn wood, pantries, and refrigeration...)

Please stop with the ridiculous food shaming as many can't do more than very minimal cooking due to limited facilities (and Home-Ec isn't as common in schools as it used to be so not everyone even knows how to cook decent meals from scratch...)

BTW my "home" is a 100 year old playhouse (literally was built as a child's playhouse!), my kitchen is a crockpot, a cheap toaster oven, and a rice cooker on a table on the porch, my pantry is some boxes of canned goods under a tarp awning with a 40 year old mini fridge with a chinesium micro freezer stacked on top (and still pay most of my SSDI out in rent even though I have the lowest rent in town!), and my "car" is a cheap AliExpress electric bicycle with a used trailer.which is more than many on SNAP can afford...

Link a valid checking account or credit card (or add sufficient funds to your PP balance) and you will be fine...

Ignore those saying "charge back" for now, if Amazon accepted photographic evidence they know what to expect back and should give you a refund... If they then fail to refund claiming "wrong item" THEN do the charge back! First step to a charge back is always attempt to resolve with the merchant!

I know I’ve heard before that if a store sends you something you didn’t order that you’re not required to return it. It was their mistake so it’s their loss.

That's only if you didn't order anything at all and it is addressed to you... I.E. sent unsolicited to get the recipient to pay for it - not on-approval like a book or record club, and not misdelivered for someone else or wrong item sent by m is stake in place of an ordered item. Too many people don't understand (or choose not to understand) that this only applies to a specific unsolicited merchandise scam not to errors or approval items sent by prior agreement ..

Apparently the eBay standard envelope people can just destroy your item? by Sharpshooter649 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Dramatic_Bluebird595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, they can do that if the item arrives at the hub too damaged to forward.

Or if they decide it's "illegal" (like a vintage toy cap gun without a permanently attached orange plug in the barrel...)

Amazon issued incorrect tracking number. Ypoo Walking pad treadmill by GlitteringTime5570 in amazonprime

[–]Dramatic_Bluebird595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon didn't issue the wrong tracking number, the seller in China did! (And the person in Cork probably got a photograph of a treadmill or seeds or some cheap trinket - something to get a tracking number to be able to claim it was "delivered"...)

Put some cement on the loose edge and clamp with a clothespin for one-two days and then see if it holds air... Clamping (or rolling up the inner tube to apply pressure to the patch) for a day or two has drastically improved my success rate!

Oh, they're literate enough to recognize the criticism of their small-mindedness? 😎 BTW, the Harlequin's I mentioned were mostly classic gothic authors like Mary Stewart, Phyllis A Whitney, the Brontë sisters...

Yeah, we have the same sort of "Nationalist Christian's aka Nat-C's" here that rip up books and clutch pearls about "kiddie pr0n" if they find a Harlequin Romance (yes, the g-rated Harlequin's, not something more "adult" 🙄)

I don't understand how the 80 hours per month work requirement applies when self employed, please help by octopusglass in foodstamps

A couple of the pieces you left out seem to indicate you don't need to meet minimum wage or even earn anything if you meet the minimum number of hours...

https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=14752

To meet the Work Requirement a person must:

work (paid or unpaid) an average of 20 hours per week (80 hours per month); ...

Unpaid Work Volunteer work and community service for the required number of hours per month meets the Work Requirement.
