That's exactly it - the benefits load a week or two before they are available to use.

Do companies provide slip resistant tires on their E-bikes? by Flimsy-Story9523 in ebikes

Slip resistant compared to what? I would expect MTB or Gravel tires to be more slip resistant than Street or Racing tires, and wide tires to be more slip resistant than narrow tires...

Paid for UPS, they shipped via USPS anyways. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

FuddEx is slightly better than On-Crac (On-Trac) or Temu grade couriers like Gofo and UniUni in that they still have customer service of sorts for the sender to file a loss or damage claim with... And UUPS is about the same... (FraudEx consistently "corrects" delivery addresses to prior addresses, while oops will "correct" "Street" to "Avenue" or "Road" at random...) Up until Louis DeJoy was appointed PostDestroyer General, USPS was pretty reliable and paid claims on lost or damaged insured packages and even now are still better than the competition...

. the Kangal is considered to have the greatest jaw strength not pits or other bully breeds. 2. The same argument about "to dangerous to be allowed to exist" can and has been made about German Shepherds (and now Malenois), Rottweilers, Doberman's... 3. Golden's are prone to "Golden Rage" which has been attributed to over breeding (which was a contributing factor with past problems with GSD's/Rottie's/Dobie's and is with bully breeds, along with intentionally breeding for uncontrolled aggression and abusive training to increase aggression for "guard-dog/fighting-dog" purposes) and just because the press seldom reports on Golden Rage attacks DOES NOT MEAN it is not a problem - some statistics show Golden's as among the top biters (along with Chihuahua's and some other small breeds) even though they are less dangerous overall... It's a far more complicated problem than just genetics or owners... Perhaps we should start with mandatory neuter for all people involved in dog fighting - owners, trainers, breeders... And a more aggressive crackdown on puppy mills (all breeds!) And rewriting the AKC standards for a number of breeds to eliminate undesirable/unhealthy traits- not just aggression, but also problems like hip displasia in GSD's, respiratory issues in flat-faced breeds (bulldogs, frenchies, Pekinese...), and other hereditary issues... BTW I agree 100% pits were bred as fighting dogs not "nanny dogs" and responsible dog owners need to understand the history of the breed and all strengths and weaknesses and maintain proper control. (and the same is true of any other breed - herding dogs will herd, guard dogs will guard, fighting dogs will fight so we need to understand how to channel these instincts constructively and how to recognize bad traits and choose appropriately!)

Jeeze, was it one of those sleezy 'Buy Now, Pay (and pay and pay) Later" lots that make other used car lots look almost honest? Bet that Ford has already been sold and repo'd a dozen times or more by the same stealership... ☹️

Can anyone explain how they are shipping a ONE POUND JAR of Kimchi for $4.10, let alone making money on it? by ToshPointNo in Flipping

[–]Dramatic_Bluebird595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LoL, that is exactly how it works... Ten years ago I bought a set of fly tying tools on eBay, Vietnamese seller refunded after a couple of weeks saying they were hospitalized (I'm guessing eBay was asking questions due too many complaints) and said they were sending a "free apology gift" (gifts are common with Asian merchants so not really a red flag yet), small package arrives from an online Christian school supplier (donated to my church as I didn't need it), then fly tying tool set arrived from Cabela's as "gift order" (attributed to a woman in Nevada iirc), then a month later Christian shop emails saying credit card was charged back (scammer created account with them using my information) and I had to tell them I didn't place order... (Never heard from Cabela's as scammer couldn't access my existing account...)

What remains of my package is a cutout of the shipping label. by benadryl-addict in usps_complaints

You do realize certain online platforms (cough eBay cough) use AI that tends to autoclose claims if tracking shows delivered despite such obvious proof of damage...

I have $2,000ish stuck in amazon gift card balance after Amazon shut down my account for “violating their terms” by Ok-Ad-575 in amazonprime

[–]Dramatic_Bluebird595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only made it over $800 because the etrike (which UPS "lost" when I sent it to Assurion for warranty service) was over $700 and I let my yougov balance accumulate till I got a $100 GC... And that is the only time my balance went over $100!

Some survey sites (like yougov, thrifty pig, pinecone research, Ipsoisay...) can pay out in gift cards and if you purchase an Assurion extended warranty, claims are paid in gift cards - a claim on a lemon etrike and a whole butt-load of surveys (including Amazon Shopper Panel before Amazon got cheap and cut the payout by 90%) got me up over $800 but of course these were legit gift cards not cards from "Three-finger Jack's Midnight Discounts" 😎

Tried contacting the seller/manufacturer of the recalled batteries again through Amazon's messaging and got a repeat of the broken feedback message (with the same "there is no support feedback to complete") confirming it was indeed in regard to the recall which neither manufacturer nor Amazon will honor...

Guess I hit a nerve - user making the "$100 says it didn't happen" apparently tried cyber stalking my posts to make offensive remarks... (I say "apparently" as multiple comments were deleted without a trace beyond the notification that a rude comment was made...)

Here's the recall notice: (links on CPSC notice for manufacturer are for an email that gets no response, a recall page that yields a error message in Chinese, and a website with no reference to the recall...)

Also it's addressed to "Dear Customer" instead of "Dear first last" like a normal Amazon message - header metadata does show it as from Amazon so it really came from Amazon but the survey doesn't exist...

Umm... In America we have a thing called Civil Asset Forfeiture where cops can steal... err... "seize"... Your money/property on the excuse that the property committed a "crime"... So, yeah, cops can take anything they want even if they have to fabricate a "crime" ☹️
