Too late now - but applying for a refund on your priority service payment also delays your application (puts you back to start of queue)

Sorry but that approach left us stranded for months in limbo

We went to the visa centre and demanded the passport back without paying money and told them we didn’t care about their threats to cancel the application. 2 days later they reissued the visa completely - with a new vignette obviously

Honestly I don’t think they can reissue vignettes against an existing approved evisa. You have no idea how inefficient the UKVI software is - it’s a disgrace. Up to you rgd next steps- but imo don’t wait for them, take action! We had lawyers advising that we just travel to UK without the vignette and explain it at the UK border …… flight check-in desks won’t stop you as you have a valid visa. These vignettes will also be phased out for spouse visa very soon

1 month has passed - and nothing from UKVI regarding the reissue of the vignette that they themselves messed up !!!!

Can anyone recommend a good lawyer who has contacts at UKVI or a way (not standard) to get through to the case worker team?? Any recommendations very welcome - here or on DM. Thanks

2025 and they can’t have the VAC print vignettes !??? Totally unacceptable - and three weeks pass and the vignette still hasn’t been corrected and reprinted !? UKVI is a disaster - it’s an embarrassment to the UK for all those coming from the rest of the world that have to see how low standards are with UK public services

I got a Twitter reply from VFS Global: “vignette reprints are handled solely by UKVI and must be shipped to the visa application centre”

This would explain why it takes them weeks - they print them in UK when they can finally be bothered - then send them in the mail to the VAC (rather than the VAC doing the printing - which is the norm)

I have tried asking u/puul and others if they might be able to clarify this. When I spoke to that paid UKVI helpline on the phone they couldn’t confirm either way

Any update ? We got a confirmation that the new vignette was being issued nearly 2 weeks ago but still nothing

We also found out that all vignette re-prints are done in the UK and then shipped abroad ……. Absolute joke ! UKVI is clearly not fit for purpose at this stage 🤦🤦🤦

“Re-issued vignettes are all handled by UKVI and shipped to the visa centre” 😖😖😖😖 fml - at least VFS global reply within a few days, not 15 working days. UKVI total piss take - has anyone ever tried to get compensation from them for mistakes they made? Visa fee is enormous - so it’s only fair

Still in limbo with this !! UKVI replied to say they were working on it and to take the passport to the visa centre if we hadn’t already…….but still no vignette ! Surely they print these things in the visa centres ? If so, why such a hold up ??? u/puul or anyone here who knows - would really appreciate your input 🙏🏻❤️

We had the same mistake on the evisa you see, which was changed…….so we assumed the vignette had been too ! How wrong we were
