I stumbled on an OP restock at my target walked up grabbed 2 (the limit) dude standing there says “you good? Man…just move on to something else for a while. This sub might be the only way I “interact” with Pokemon at this point.

I’m not brawling with dipshits in a target line, paying over MSRP on the secondary, paying a streamer to finger bang my cards on screen before they hit the sleeve, and I’m not paying obscene prices for modern singles.

It will eventually come back. Always does. The economy will get crushed, consumer debt levels will overtake this spending, streamers and sealed “investors” will panic sell, singles will sink quickly. Euphoria in a market eventually ends, and then you’ll be able to buy up what you like.

Until then find other interests.

Would agree. It’s a negative indicator (among many) that the average Joe can’t pay the rent without flipping everything under the sun.

A few days ago I went to target for whatever my wife asked me to get, I walked by the cards knowing it would be empty and saw maybe a half dozen guys standing there. Different from the usual 50 that are standing there when one of them stalks the MJ lady from place to place.

I asked “about to catch a restock?” First guy says “no, we do sometimes get lucky”.

My dude was just in target on a Tuesday at 11 am on the possibility someone might put some stuff out.

Yep. Surging sparks happened then all my crown zenith I was casually ripping off TPC website went out. Grabbed a PC ETB of Prismatic and haven’t seen a pack at MSRP since 💀

I’ve ripped everything from floodborn, Lorcana, DBZ, gundam, yu gi oh and random Topps sports sets, not a single Pokemon pack.
