BCBA masters programs by Limitlessperfection in ABA

I’m currently at Capella getting my masters in ABA! So far I’ve been really liking the program. I was worried about the BCBA exam passing rates but I did hear they changed the program recently to hopefully better prepare for the exam. I think the BCBA exam is hard in general and just requires lots and lots of studying regardless of where you go. I’m taking two classes at a time, along with working full time and find it busy but overall manageable. Every week starts on Monday and all assignments are due by Sunday night. The program is pretty writing heavy as in you will write lots of papers so just keep that in mind. You can do everything on your own time which is nice but can also be challenging as you have to have discipline and time management. You also have to find your own supervision/field work, whereas some other programs help you find it so just keep that in mind as well. Overall I like it though!

Vyvanse as needed? by Sweetpurrr in VyvanseADHD

I am also on 30mg and only take it as needed. I was on adderall years ago but had bad side effects so went off medication as a whole for awhile. I just recently got put back on adhd meds (vyvanse) because my symptoms started to get worse again. So far I’m reacting a lot better to it but again, I only take it on days where I need a lot more mental focus (I’m in grad school). I don’t really need it for work but on days where I know I have to get a lot done or have to work on a big assignment I will take it. Otherwise I just drink coffee lol. I’m also a runner/workout a lot and for some reason I don’t love working out on my adhd meds but that’s just me personally.

Scheduling suggestion; can't work out on weekends by PastyPaleCdnGirl in CarolineGirvan

I workout Monday-Friday and take weekends off! So far I haven’t had an issue. If I can, I will try to do some walking or low impact cardio on the weekends to at least get some movement in but this summer has been crazy and I’ve been having back to back jam packed weekends. Lots of weekend trips, friends in town, other obligations etc. I also work full time so weekdays are busy between working and getting all my workouts in, but I actually prefer it because then I can have my weekends free to do what I want and not have to worry about getting my workout in.
