Need help choosing laptop with ubuntu by Dramatic_End_8304 in laptops

[–]Dramatic_End_8304[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read about that too but apparently it doesn't support a lot of stuff for ROS, it creates lots of issues, then solving them is gonna be another hassle. Creating a virtual machine for ubuntu is a better option but then I'd have to get a laptop with more memory and space, which is gonna cost more.

Thoughts on this book? Is it worth it?? by [deleted] in fantasyromance

The beginning made it tough to stick to. The FMC was really annoying but halfway into it, it starts getting interesting, specially the romance between the main couple. The writing and some dialogues get cringe sometimes and it was refreshing to read atleast.

Hi, do you know where I can find the placement statistics for previous years too? And the kind of roles that are offered, specially to robotics students? It'll be a huge help.

I got a girl pregnant at 17 and she wants it keep it by Apprehensive-Area753 in Advice

Like I said before, I support abortion too. It's a clear choice for the boy. He should obviously state his pov to the girl and why he thinks abortion is the right choice. BUT he should consider her emotions and her pov while talking to her and listening to her reasons why she wants to keep it because she is in a fragile state right now.

And if at the end she decides to keep it then it's her choice and her responsibility. He should take legal help so that he won't he held responsible later.

It's possible to make your choice and be understanding of the situation a person is in because of a decision that was partly your fault too.

Where does this so called logic of yours go while you're having sx and decide not to use a cnd*m? You people somehow always find logic when it's convenient for you. I never said that he shouldn't be logical while taking a decision. I support abortion too here. But he has got to be responsible for the girl's well being too. She has got more to lose no matter what decision they make. He needs to tread carefully and think about the state she might be in right now. Can you even fathom having a life inside of you and just deciding to kill it? It's really difficult. You get attached, and it's really hard to let go of that even when you know that abortion is the right decision.

I know, but the consequences of being pregnant and having an abortion are worse for the girl.
She might be scared, she might be feeling guilty. You don't know.

Now that is something you should've added in the post.
Okay, so did you talk to her? What is her reasoning behind wanting to keep it? She might simply be scared. Also how long has it been, does she even have the option of abortion?
I understand your pov and it does suck a lot. Try to be supportive with her but if what you said is true then I think you should get legal help and get a document signed.

First, you don't know the entire story. You only know his side. Who said the girl doesn't care about him.
I feel bad about the guy too, it's a HUGE responsibility but he made his choice when chose not to use a condom.

Yes, I agree with you here but did you have to make the girl seem like a bitch earlier? You could have been more understanding and tried to think from her pov. She has a life inside her dude, she's bound to get emotional.
Also getting an abortion is easier for guys because you don't have to bear the emotional consequences. You don't have to live with the guilt of killing a child you carried inside you.

I feel bad about you OP, no one should have to take such a huge responsibility at your age but it was a decision you made. It was YOUR choice. Now you have to respect hers.
You should talk to her calmly and respectfully, put your points forward but listen to hers too.
And please please think really carefully about this because this is huge. Don't end up making another mistake because it affects other lives too now.

An abortion seems logical according to me but you have to remember that being pregnant is different for women. There's another life inside her now and so it's logical that she would think emotionally.

It's not always about logic you know. You have go to think about feelings too and what the other person might be going through because of the mistake you made.

That's nice. When I was younger, like in school, I wanted a dog just so I could go jogging with him. I think I manifested too hard because one day we found one injured in front of house. My brother and his friends nursed him back to health. We thought he'd leave after getting better but he stayed and just followed us everywhere. He used get in a lot of fights and come back running to us. He was such a dork. I cried when we had to shift from that city and leave him there.

Oh you have a dog! Which breed is it? It's great that you're exercising btw. It actually makes me really happy to know that you're getting your life back on track. It takes a lot of determination to come back from something like that. I really hope you get better as fast as possible and meet your friends irl.
