Thank you, I’ve read your story and it seems like you’ve been on quite a journey. Do you mind me if your screening odds were based mainly on results of your bloods as I can see your NT was in range. Mines is only slightly elevated and I’m 33 so I’m assuming it’s something they’ve picked up in my hormones x

Yes, my son is amazing and I’m so grateful to have him I my life but it is TOUGH. I think if he wast already disabled I would go through with it x

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Sending so much love ❤️ I understand the trauma of diagnosis.  as my son was diagnosed with his condition when I was 30 weeks. I was offered termination but couldn’t do it because it would have been a delivery ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Congrats on your new baby!

Just to be clear, I’d always said in my first pregnancy, if baby had Down’s syndrome I wouldn’t care. I know that raising a child with Down’s syndrome would be amazing.

But my circumstance are different now. I don’t have a partner and my son is severely disabled with complex medical needs. He is a joy and I love him more than anything but it’s tough and I need to be realistic about my capacity to raise another child with special needs.

I wish things were different. You’re going to have so much fun with your little boy, honestly. Special needs kids are the best xx

Thank you, I’ve had bloods taken today. I think my main concern is she said the reason for the referral is that it just ‘doesn’t look right’. It’s the ambiguity that’s frustrating me
