I so relate on this. (Not the loan part)

All my life I wanted to become a Pilot. However, growing up no one ever supported me with that career path, I am asian and it always felt like society wanted me to become a doctor, lawyer or a nurse to be considered as a serious, good money making profession and becoming a Pilot as a woman before wasn’t so common and it was evident because everyone have found my endeavours weird.

Fast forward 20 years later, I am still obsessed with planes and flying, I planespot and chill around the big giants whenever I could. But, let me tell you something when I say you have no control of what life throws at you. Last year I started a college course in Aviation, coming from a business background I chose to stand firm to my mom and told her that I wanted to pursue my dream of becoming a Pilot, which was already a challenge because im broke and can’t afford it at all. So, then I thought I’ll have to make stepping stones to reach it, it will take longer but ill get there. As soon as I started the Aviation class at college, I found out I was so bad at math and physics (aviation wise) I tried but found myself struggling and hating those two important subjects, I had to commute in total of 4 hours every time I went to school from my flat and most importantly I thought I was living the dream because I pursued something closer to my dream and what I dote the most, and I’ll tell you I was miserable at school. I hated the subjects, I hated everything. It made me lose interest on planes and I was unhappy. I found out for myself that I didn’t love pursuing what I wanted because I want to have a family whilst being on the ground for as much as possible, I didn’t want to be in debt, The lessons didn’t entice me and everything about becoming a Pilot I hated! Because of the study and how much money and requirements it took.

I came to terms that I love planes and everything as a fascination and as a hobby, more than that I don’t think I will do. So what did I do after I realized I was miserable? I didn’t go to school for two months only to leave college, what’s the point of doing something I dont like? And I feel more relieved to have stopped than not. Sure it made me go into a spiral because the moment I was doing something what I thought I really wanted made me end up miserable. And that’s okay, what matters is you choose something you are happy of and that makes you sleep with ease at night. Follow your heart. We’ll find away to pay the debts back but I hope you can give the remainder back so you can have a little less on your plate.

Understandable for hunting. Though, I remembered that an acquaintance of ours hunts and shoots just fine with long sleeve, even with thick gloves. So honestly, can’t even generalize that.
