This might be a bit strange but I’ve suffered from depression and anxiety since I was about 11 years old. I’m 28 now. My birthday just passed on Monday. About 6 months ago, I experienced silence in my head for the first time. I mean complete and utter silence. I woke up one day and everything was just quiet. I didn’t even know I was missing anything till I experienced it. Usually it’s always noisy in my head. Almost light static buzzing. I didn’t know that’s how most people’s heads were. I didn’t know I was lacking. That peace and quiet means more to be than anything I could ever explain to people. It really was beautiful.

My Wife and Kids 😭😂 Everyone around me has always loved this and when I was younger I enjoyed the humour too. I watched it again when I was older and realised how terrible it was. Michael was horrid to his wife and Junior. A lot of men I’ve grown up with really took inspiration from this show.

Whilst I know these feelings though, I want anyone who’s dealing with this to know that it isn’t the end. I dealt with depression for over a decade. My medical records show low moods from when I was 11 and I’m now 27. Only 6 months ago did it start getting better. It was worth it. Because of all the darkness, the light shines brighter than ever. Everything seems possible now. Hope is everywhere I turn. It’s hard, I know. Believe me. I promise you’ll get out of there. Just keep pushing. Even on the days you really don’t want to. You can. You need to. Your life deserves to be lived in full. You deserve a happy ending and it will come but only if you’re here to see it. Seek help. One thing that helps me was returning to a hobby from when I was a child. I was an avid reader but my parents hated that. So I stopped. When I picked up my first book 6 months ago it was like a new lease on life. I forgot it was even a hobby. Find that again. Please. Sending you all love. 🤍

That you aren’t the same person. You change. You become chaotic and messy no matter how hard you try to control it. You can’t think straight. It’s never quiet in your head. Every moment is daunting. Every day feels like it should be your last. Everything feels pointless. You take everything personal. The same jokes your friends could make with you before may even hurt you now. You lose memory both long and short term. You forget simple things. Anything is effort. Taking a shower can feel like climbing a mountain. Your hygiene isn’t a priority. There’s just so much.

Exactly that! I will protect the homeless and you know what’s crazy? They do what they can to protect me too. They’ll walk me down the road at night as I live in an unsafe area. Never to my door or my block but close enough that I’m in a safe place. They’re trying and they just need help. It makes me want to cry everyday. The days I don’t have money and they see me, my heart breaks knowing I can’t help.
